Better off going with Boost's $150 80gb in my opinion

No it is not a deal

No, it's not a good deal. Boost deal is better

    ► Cheaper
    ► More Data
    ► Better network…

Nice to upvote one of your comments. Beautiful formatting too.

    • I moved from Kogan to Boost and find Boost slower, same as our another Boost plan. We find Lebara>Kogan>Catch>Boost in most cases. Sometimes even Boost has higher up speed, the down speed is only 1-3mb.
Does Boost limit speed on purpose?

  • what about the aldi $99 365 sim?are they the same network as boost?

    • +2

They (Aldi) use a part of the Telstra network - meaning they get slower speeds and less coverage

      • +5

It's also only 15Gb for the year… Boost is 80Gb

        • That's a double negative for Aldi (15gb and wholesale network)

          • +3

@CC123: At least they've increased it from 12gb…

It's a good cheap plan for kids phones and older folks that don't need much data at approx. $8 per month.

    I dont' think it's a deal.
    It's usual price.

  • is there a expiry date on the boost sim?my other aldi sim will end in Nov. if i buy the boost sim now, will i be able to activate the boost sim in 5 months time?

    • +5

is there a expiry date on the boost sim?

It's not on sale, it's their normal price, so just buy it when you need it… (or wait for it to go on sale for $135 again)

      • oh cool, thanks

      • When they got this deal no coles had sim or recharge to give to customer

  • is this the cheapest way to get a year of Optus Sport?

    • You can't get Optus sport if you have a prepaid Optus account according to this

      • I got it free on a Virgin mobile plan.

        • Me too, still on the same plan but off contract now.
The link was referring to prepaid plans. e.g. this deal

        • First timer on a plan #proud

  • Do you get Optus sport with these plans?

Optus is outdated here, less superior network and no international calls included.

Boost mobile is a much better deal

    • +1

I agree with that but would like to state something -

I was on the promo for Virgin Mobile customers (10gb, data-free streaming, 250min international min, unlim stnd international sms/mms, unlim stnd national talk/txt, Optus sport, etc for $25/month) and recently got off contract.
Hopped on a live chat and did some negotiating with the rep - bumped myself up to 15gb + all those other extras, didn't re-contract and kept it at the same price. Granted I would appreciate having Telstra coverage in places and have access to use all my data without paying $10 per GB but for what it's worth, it's not horrible.

    • Unless you go to Mt Baw Baw where Telstra coverage sucks and Optus is full signal.

    • less superior…

      as in "not as better"?

Think you may have meant "inferior"…. ;p

  • This deal has come back.

    No it hasn't.

  • Every day price.

  • Prefer boost mobile $150 for 80G on Telstra network or Catch Connect $135 f0r 80G as well if you don't mind Optus.

  • I've got the $120 deal and regret it. Optus coverage is really bad for me. I would rather go for Boost.

  • Just bought a Catch 365 day plan with 375gb and 500 international minutes for $185, and they use the optus network…

    • Where?

      • $205 through catchconnect website and $20 cashback via cashrewards. Best phone plan I've ever seen. $15.42/month for $31.25gb/month plus international credit. Was only a few years ago I was paying $49/month for 5gb lol
