Yeah Mediatek processor - that is the only downside to this phone, otherwise pretty solid
Mediatek processors ruin phones. I still don't understand why Chinese love them so much. Let's face, if they weren't cheaper than Qualcomm equivalents, nobody would use them.
They heat up a lot and the Chinese market loves it because it is cheaper as you said - they market it as "flagship" specs in mid tier pricing

Color OS = Downside??
Honestly, it's a personal choice. However I don't really like Color OS.
It is one of those Android skins that I'd rather not to have.
Stock android suits u best. Maybe Nokia candy bar suits u best.
It's not as bad as it once was.Having used an Oppo R9 before, Oppo has really stepped up it's game with its new Reno phones and ColorOS 6. They've added essential features (e.g. app drawer), and in many ways it's more convenient than stock android. Unless you're a power user, ColorOS should be sufficient for most people.
This Vs the v30+?

V30+ has wireless charging and microSD card slot, which the Reno Z does not have
Reno Z would have better cameras (front and rear) I reckon. Also has under-display fingerprint sensor, whilst V30+ is only rear sensor. Much larger battery too (and quicker fast-charge)
The rear sensor is superior to the front optical sensor and the Qualcomm processor in V30 would be better than the Mediatek processor ( though RAM is much higher in Oppo )
I have OPO 6T and hate the in screen scanner. Much prefer the old style
@dosada: Yes they are still not mature enough, wish more about the s10e style side fingerprint sensor but with 6.4+ screen
