Dick Smith - 31.5" Full HD LED LCD TV - $369 Including Delivery!

140

Apparently their normal price for this TV is around $499. I just called up regarding it.

Extra warranty is $39 for an additional 1 year and $69 for an additional 2 years (replacement warranty). Seems like a pretty good deal.

I think this qualify's for the Paypal $20 cashback.

  • TV comes with 12 months warranty, so if you get an additional 1 year ($39), will total 2 years, you get the drift.

Nice tv if you prefer not to deal with JB.

    • What's wrong with dealing with JB?

      • mainly their service, for example, with the $299 Soniq LCD deal.

        • i know JB sales people who have stopped recommeneding Soniq because of the frequent issues they have with these tv's

  • in store only

    • However stores near me, seem to have stock

  • Do you know how many HDMI ports it has?

    • +1

Unless - stay with me here - you don't want to spend the money on a quality product.

I want you to know that I value your opinion.

dick smith sell rubbish. over the years i can count heaps of stuff i bought from them and , Oh boy what a waste of money, the stuff breaks like hell. I can go on for hours talking about stuff i got from them that I regret

    • shouldnt you be commenting on the product rather then the store? I mean they do stock and sell Samsung, LG, Sony and all other TV brands like other major retailers?. So what are you saying? the DSE brand itself?

in the end you get exactly what u pay for. at that price its a good deal considering all other 32" LED's available from JB, HN, GG.

      BTW:

      2x HDMI Inputs

and normal instore price for this tv is $369 - see latest catalouge……

      • this tv was only released to stores around wednesday, at the price of $499

the catalogue pricing is not the regular pricing but that being said, it will probably be permanent after this catalogue ends

        • -1

yes i know and thats why i said instore its $369…………

      I agree
Despite TV after TV and DVD player after DVD player dying a friend of mine keeps purchasing DSE branded electronics - I have learnt from his experiences and wont go anywhere near DSE branded electronics.

So you totally are a Dick Head I guess…
Dse stuff is like homebrand only to buy when the branded stuff is similar.
      NOT EVERYTIME

      • Perhaps you should re-read what i wrote.
Some slight changes to your post would make it funny, but at the moment you are like the pot calling the kettle black.

  • very cheap TV, but you get what you paid for most of the time (unless you are in one of the hardly normal shops) :) What I notice is that with these "super bargain" TVs, usually the energy rating and remote is crap.
I own a soniq plasma and the remote is appalling.

    • I agree but 90w max listed in specs for this TV very decent power consumption. usually the cheap trash is around 150w

  • they have a 40" full hd Vivo one for $444

    • $421 with my staff discount. Now THAT'S a great deal.

      • -3

Huh! Only $23 dollars discount for being an employee? Surely they make more than that.

I'll be looking for a job somewhere else!

        • There are 250,000 woolworths employees in Australia. They can't afford to give bigger discounts than that.

Now, people who complain that the SONIQ 32inch deal from JB was too 'thick' they can get this instead. But again, they would probs complain about the 0.5 inches they lost; or whine about how they have to pay more for led backlighting… LOL

  • the Soniq was $100-$130 cheaper and had the pvr, as they say 'whatever floats your boat'!
ps anyone know which oem makes these DS tvs?

    • I think it's just some chinese manufacturer…

  • Picked one of these up today - hopefully with the Amex $50 rebate offer. So far looks pretty good for the price, and happy with the LED slim design.

  • Anyone know the refresh rate of this tv? Eg: 50hz, 100hz etc.

I can't decide whether to get a hisense 32 inch lcd led $598 at JB Hi FI or this one. I'm not very good at electronics lol so if anyone has any suggestions let me know. FYI I won't be gaming on the tv.
