Saw this deal online yesterday when looking for new cookware and almost immediately went into the store to pick some up.
Unfortunately, as this is the first time I've owned cast iron cookware; I have no reference to compare quality.

  • This is Harris Scarfe's home brand BTW and as usual have ridiculous RRPs.

    • sooo you think these prices are worth it or not? Not familiar with the quality here either.

I was disappointed to see no form of branding or ID marking on the pieces. I read online that all quality cast iron cookware have their brand (and sometimes a model) as part of the mold. IOW: if I were to forget this was from S&N then I'd have no idea what brand or model these are.

  • It looks like Tomlinson Industries cast-iron cookware to me.

Bought this from them. There was a tiny scratch on one of the pan, contacted customer service, issued refund straight away, and I can keep cookware. Good service

  • some of my lodge pans are less than perfect. the process of making cast iron e.g in sand moulds does lead to some imperfection if bits of sand dislodge in the mould, too heavy to send back to the usa so will just let hardened fat fill the problem area.

the best quality cast iron i own is still le cruset, but it’s expensive.
