  • If this works well it will save me money by avoiding starbucks for their ordinary but acceptable cold brew.
looks like a pain to clean though

    • Hi sinewaves7,

Thanks for your interest, it's actually super easy to clean! Simply rinse out after using and you're good to go again :)

Both the glass carafe and stainless steel filter are dishwasher proof, we'd just recommend being careful how you load your dishwasher with the glass carafe to make sure nothing will be crashing against it during the cycle!

Let me know if you have any questions and we'll be happy to help :)

      • Can this be used to brew hot tea as well? Can it withstand boiling water?

        • +1

yes because toughened borosilicate glass, not double wall insulated so will be transfer heat when touched.

        • +1

          Hi BargainLuver,

Thanks for the question! The answer is kind of yes and no to this… The borosilicate glass is suitable for boiling water, however the carafe is a streamlined design with no handle, which means the glass itself would get very hot and therefore present a real risk of burning/scalding yourself. We therefore warn against using it with boiling water in the carafe.

Instead, we suggest using it to make cold brew, but then whenever you want a hot cup, simply pour into your favourite mug and microwave for a few minutes, and you're good to go! You get the deliciously smooth flavour that you get from cold brew, so it's a much nicer way to enjoy your hot coffee, and once you've made the cold brew, super quick to heat it up!

The cold brew will stay fresh in your fridge for a week to ten days, so you can have coffee on tap for as long as you can not drink it!

          Thanks,

This is cool! Thanks for being here, haven't seen reps on their Prime deals :)

can you turn cold brew into to hot coffee ?

    • +2

      Hi phunkydude!

Great question, and the answer is ABSOLUTELY! :) Simply make the cold brew as usual, store it in your fridge or on your countertop in the carafe, and whenever you fancy a hot cuppa, simply microwave it! You get all the benefits of cold brew, but in a hot brew! So a much smoother flavour without the bitterness, a stronger cup (so you can water it down if that's your preference) and it's super quick and easy to make once you have the cold brew ready!

      Enjoy :)

      • I just wanted to say thanks for the great replies you've been giving people on here.

        • +1

Aw thanks cnut! We're a very small, family-run business so our customers are really important to us and customer service is something we try to offer in abundance :)

Thanks for the feedback and have a lovely day! :)

          Sarah - twohundredº

    • EDIT: Oops looks like I duped the above reply.

  • Good design sarah, I think I have seen it at this price before. RRP is $129, was generally $67 between sales.

    • Hi abuch47,

Thank you, we love the design but we're biased! ;)

We have run a few sales around this price in the past, you're right, but only once through Amazon and that required a discount code; this is the first time it's been on sale through Amazon without a code.

We did have it at $49 for a few days in June, and also a deal on 2 for $100 about 3 weeks ago. The retail price on Amazon and our website has been $129 the whole time until today, as we want our OzBargain customers to get a real deal - we don't post our offers anywhere else! :)

      Happy shopping!

  • Glass seems fragile. Only thing holding me from buying one

    • Hi raphael2012,

The glass looks fragile but is actually high quality borosilicate glass and is very durable.

Having said that, we offer a 100% money back guarantee; if you are not satisfied in any way we'll refund you :) Similarly, if you were to receive a faulty one and it broke, we would of course replace free of charge or refund you if you preferred.

We've bene selling in Australia since December last year and haven't had a single return or complaint to date (touch wood!) so we're pretty confident you won't need to make use of the guarantee, but it's there for your peace of mind :)

      Thanks,

Its toughened borosilicate but likely thin. Bodum uses the same glass type and is generally fairly strong. I am replacing a bodum french press with this that had a small chip on the spout likely being heavy handed or dishwasher clashing.

  • any deal on a grinder?

Thanks, purchased for this SAHM 👍
