Wireless (battery operated) Security Cameras with 24/7 Recording

I've currently got Arlo Pro cameras, but I find the app buggy and I would much prefer 24/7 recording
What do other people use?
Any solutions that keep recording even when the power is knocked out?

Edit: updated to indicate preference of wireless cameras. By wireless I mean battery operated cameras, completely wire free not just wifi cameras that still need power.

Outside camera, usually record on demand and store in cloud is sufficient.
If it's store camera, 24/7, you probably need in-house storage.
To keep recording during the blackout, get a UPS.

    • Thanks yeah needing 24/7. UPS looks like something I'll need. Thanks!

Dahua, with UPS for NVR & networking equipment. App (android, ios, pc, mac) works flawlessly! Software updates are frequent also for both smartphone/tablet/computer app instances!

    • Thanks heaps. Where did you buy your Dahua gear from?

      • ebay seller based in sydney during the 10% off sale and stacked it with gift cards for further discount. parcel was sent through DHL express/tracked courier and even provided remote support via teamviewer on a few minor configuration settings on the NVR. actual equipment was official international version hence can be updated directly via Dahua without them reverting to non-english language.

        Pccg and scorptec

Need a Poe switch, the cameras and if U have a old PC, you can just turn that into a NVR. I just bought a NUC which pops up time to time on here.

Best of all everything is local and no on going subscription to access your feed thru the app.

  • Cousin works as installer and he likes to buy these camera kit from them:

Was told that you can put in memory card into the system to record when connection between the cameras and recorders are down. So logically, if you decided to put a UPS on the cameras, cameras would still be recording.

Considering it is for security, don't quote me on this as I really don't know how it works. Best way to ring up some installer and ask for if they have such system or contact the company of the link above.
