  • Hey Dabell. As outlined in the Deal above- the Wagyu is worth $225 + $10 for the other ingredients - so $235 value for $160. So a pretty good deal!

50G of carrot. really? do you need to list that? carrots are $1 for 1kg at woolies and coles special… thats 5c worth of carrot lol i think the box you put it in is worth more. you should add that to the list.

      • So don't list whats in the box if it's not worth more than $1?

        • +7

Hey there…everything is listed as the box is designed so you have all the ingredients to make the meal. Hope that explains why even the small amounts are listed. It's so you know you don't need to go shopping to make the meal. It's all done for you.

Thanks OP, next week's lunches sorted. Any information on how this compares to Australia Wagyu?

    • +1

That sounds like a plan :)

      Hey Hey Aj :)

Check out this article it explains the difference and why Japanese Wagyu is more expensive and a different taste experience as well.

Plus, the airfare! Blackmore Wagyu is better than most Japanese Wagyu.

is it possible to just buy everything except for wagyu beef? I'd pay $10 for them.

    • +6

$10 + $150 for postage and handling and they'll "throw" in the wagyu beef for free.

      • +1

haha…it's FREE delivery anyway LOL…but yeah…you have to buy the whole box ;)

  • +1

Not sure if this is a good price but my family actually had this (first time) the other week for dinner for a birthday and it beats the pants off of "regular" hotpot/steamboat beef :)

You would do more business if you shipped nationally.

Everytime I see deals like this I'm like awesome then go poo sydney only.

    • +1

beef will turn in to jerky by the time it gets to you.

    • Sorry Paul at the moment they only ship Sydney Metro. Plan is to go Australia wide. As the product is not frozen, transport is a little more complicated door-to-door so it's a work in progress :)

  • Don't know why Wagyu is so expensive, but $50 for 1/1.5kg at Costco when I want some

    • +2

Hey there. The reason this is more expensive is it is Japanese Wagyu Topside Beef Slice (A5, Kagoshima brand, marbling score 9-11). Hope that helps! Normally $150 per kilo. That's why this is a great deal.
