Next you'll be telling me I can't use those flashing blue lights on my Commodore😀The reason I looked it up was because at Tullamarine airport there was a traffic controller directing pedestrians to not cross a legitimate zebra pedestrian crossing to let cars go through. Thing was, he was standing at the other side of the crossing, actually on the footpath, so even though he was holding a stop sign that carries legal authority, you can legally walk all the way across the crossing and up to the sign. You only have to stop at the sign, the sign doesn't mean stop over there or stop where you are. The only law for pedestrians in that context is disobeying a stop sign by walking past it.

It's not a Commodore😀But I have pulled over a vehicle on a remote country road in Tassie after my vehicle broke down - by flashing a blue led light! The driver thought it was the Police😱 Otherwise it was many hours walk into the nearest town.
Lawful directives are complex.
A friend was arrested for what was called the trifecta in the bad old days - disobeying a Police directive, resisting arrest & abusive language. He was grabbed from behind, the Police did not identify themselves, so he instinctively defended himself. Being kicked by the Police was a further "assault" charge.
He had rightly intervened when a person was asdaulting & abusing a mentally disabled person. The charges were dismissed, as the original directive was not seen as lawful.I've been threatened with arrest for simply pointing out a Police operation was endangering lives of people not subject to the operation.
People were simply trying to cross at a pedestrian crossing to the beach. Police were stopping drivers at the pedestrian crossing - causing other drivers not to notice the pedestrians lawfully crossing the road.Interpreting the implementation of laws is an expensive process left up to the courts.

I can't think of the character that will use this cosplay but I am 100% sure one of the fighting games I forget which one had a skin where the character was using a stop sign as a weapon.. forgot which one but it was probably one of the tekken/street fighter/marvel/capcom ones.
My wife used to have a tank top that said " In the name of love" … Would have been perfect with this sign.
