Incorrect. Will be upgraded to Anroid 2.3

    Handset requires internet for GPS

Incorrect. It has GPS, and will also use WiFi when available for increased accuracy.

I have one on a $29 plan with Optus. The touch controls can be a bit laggy, but otherwise it is a reasonably good phone. Battery lasts for about a day with moderate use.

    • Sony Ericsson website says that they will give the updates to fix few bugs but never mentioned any thing about android 2.3

One thing more to ask, if it will be upgraded to Android 2.3, why is it still on 2.1

If 2.3 will be available, i will definitely buy one.

      do reply….

      • Here is your answer :)
you can wait for official release at end of Q2 this year or you can do it via some 3rd party tools easily.

  • I have one and the battery life is not good, but that depends on what you have running.
Same goes for lag… again only have things turned on when you want to use them and it is fine… common with droid phones anyway.
It has stand alone GPS and with decent map software works well.
Watch the 50mb data quota with this offer… just enough to get you into serious trouble!

  • I've owned one for over a year now and it's a great phone. Yes, it can sometimes lag a bit but nothing major. The good news is that they've reversed an earlier decision and decided to upgrade the OS to Gingerbread (2.3.3) in line with the Arc and Play.
