My first post, been a OzB addict for a little while now, scrutinize me where need be!

Just picked up this Dyson V7 Animal Origin from Big W Narellan NSW Store for $449, this has been cheaper in the past at Big W eBay but appears to be the cheapest price currently. $449, was $699, 35% off.

  I bought this deal online last Monday, it’s arrived and I’m loving it so far. I previously had the Dyson V6 Animal, which I have loved and worn out, this new model has many improvements on that.

  You know those DC58's we all bought a year and a bit ago? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/342032

  I converted mine using an aftermarket power head and stick for about $50-60 worth of parts :)

  The V6 is just a rebadged DC58 I believe… anyway… if I need to I just use the Cinetic Animal Pro I stole from a 2nd hand shop for $200 if I need real suction :)

  Don't get the V7 if you intend on using it on hard floors. It has trouble sucking up solids. A Dyson that doesn't suck

    it only has trouble sucking up big solids (e.g. size of a Cheerio), and unless u get the absolute version with the fluffy head, they're all gonna have similar problems.

    Works fine for me, even collected cheerios with no issue. Personally if there's anything larger than a cheerio on the floor I'll just pick it up and throw it in the bin, but hey that's just me.

    Can anyone confirm if Costco's price is still $399? Do they have the V8?
