We have re-stocked!

We ran an Amazon Prime Day deal but ran out of stock in under 2 hours. We've now re-stocked at Amazon and as it was so popular and so many of you missed out, we are running a sale ALMOST as good as the Prime Day deal ($129 down to $49.99, with free delivery by Amazon) for today and tomorrow only (ends midnight 24th July). Get in quick whilst stocks last!

You can view the original Prime Day offer here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/470444

You can use the twohundredº Cold Brew Coffee Maker to cold brew coffee, fruit infused teas, and fruit infused water. Make delicious cold brew at home at the start of the week, and you've got it on hand and ready to drink throughout the week.

The high quality borosilicate glass is heat resistant so you can put it (and the stainless steel filter) in the dishwasher - just be careful when loading to make sure nothing will be smashing into it!

Please note, although the glass can hold hot water, we do NOT recommend brewing with hot water in the carafe as it has no handle, so there will be heat transfer and risk of burning. Therefore, if you prefer your coffee hot, make the cold brew as usual but then when you're ready for a cuppa, simply microwave for a few minutes and you've got a wonderfully smooth-tasting hot coffee!

Any questions please feel free to contact us: [email protected]

Happy cold brewing! :)

  • Are there any plastic parts in this? Or is it all glass + stainless steel?

    • +1

      Hi mrshorty,

Thanks for your question. No plastic parts at all :) Glass carafe, stainless steel lid and filter, and a silicone gasket to create a near airtight seal between the lid and carafe :)

Any other questions please just ask!

      Thanks,

      Sarah - twohundredº

  • Ordered thanks.

P.S. You need to replace your microwave.

    • Haha, soso!! You are probably correct! ;) Thanks for ordering, we hope you love it!

  • Is there a youtube vid for this? Intrigued.

    • Hi footyboy,

There's a pretty amateur one demonstrating how to use it, which showcases the previous version, which has an open spout. The current version has a very small spout so it creates a near airtight seal, meaning you need to remove the lid to pour the coffee. Otherwise it's the same!

You can see the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-zpSPSNQhY

  • Is it just me who saw those little pinch of coffee on the ad looking like cockroach.

  • Its great got mine a week ago but have only used for iced black tea so far. One thing on the next version can you make the bottom of the stainless filter have holes as well. With these types of strainers it is so hard to get tea leaves out the bottom as water does not flow there without more holes. Glass is much thicker than my bodum FP that cracked. Dual layer insulated glass may be a better idea as well for hot or cold comfortable use.

    • Hi abuch47,

So glad you’ve been enjoying using yours and thanks very much for the feedback! You’re right, pesky tea leaves can be a bit harder to rinse out but we tend to find giving it a good swill in a tub of water helps. We’ll certainly bear your suggestions in mind for next time, thank you! :)

Have you tried adding some fresh mint into the filter with your tea leaves? Makes a lovely refreshing mint tea :)

      Happy cold brewing!

  • Looks like a good design, but 32oz is far too small for my cold brew needs.

TEER3X, sounds like you need to purchase two or three!! ;)

Sounds like a great idea. Are you going to clean all of the extra components every time I use them? Or should I just go and buy a $5 Ikea jug and use a nut milk bag like every other hipster?

        • Haha, well I guess that depends how hipster you want to be and how much you don't mind mess… As the only "extra component" that needs washing is the stainless steel filter, which is actually pretty easy to clean with a bit of a rinse, I suspect you got this ;) However, I also suspect you'd rather not buy two or three, and I'd hate to try to persuade you into something you don't want to do, so I hope you enjoy your nut milk bag and 3 litre Ikea jug ;)

Happy cold brewing - however you like to brew!

  • Bought one on the Prime day sale, seems good so far, really appreciated the minimal packaging. Agree that it would be nicer to have holes at the bottom, even washing coffee out is a bit of a pain.

    • Hi dogbestdog, thanks for the feedback!

We don't tend to experience the same issue with coffee grounds, I wonder whether you might be using a slightly less coarse grind that might be getting jammed in the fine filter? We find that a few quick taps on the side of the bin gets out the majority of the beans and then the rest swill out easily when rinsed under the tap. I hope this doesn't continue to cause you frustration! We'll take these suggestions into consideration for the next version though, thank you! :)

      Happy cold brewing!

  • Thanks OP,

Is it worth using this with pre-ground coffee ? I don't have a grinder.

    • Hi cruiseonroad,

      Great question :)

If you can find very coarsely ground coffee in the shops or get your local barista to grind some for you, then absolutely. Just bear in mind that the commercial grinders you find in cafes might still grind it too finely even on a coarse setting. It really doesn't need much, we find just a quick 5-second blitz in a grinder does it for us!

Alternatively, you can use a blender or Nutribullet (or even a mortar and pestle) instead of a grinder! Because the bean needs to be so coarsely ground you don't need to worry so much about a good quality coffee grinder :)

      The problem with using finely ground coffee to cold brew is three-fold;
      - firstly, the fine grounds will clog the stainless steel filter,
      - secondly, there is less opportunity for the water to move around the grounds, meaning the brewing process is not so effective
      - thirdly, a fine grind can result in too much oil being extracted, which can result in a bitter flavour - the exact opposite of what you want from your cold brew!

If you don't have a blender to try instead of a grinder, we'd suggest buying the coarsest grind you can find and giving it a go. Best of luck!

      Thanks,

      • Mine arrived thanks, used a NutriBullet.

Why are all the measurements in cups and oz if you are an Australian company?

        • Hi cruiseronroad,

Great to hear it has arrived already! How did you find using the NutriBullet?

The measurements are in oz/cups because we originally had these on sale on the US Amazon site; we sold remotely in the US for a few years before the Aussie Amazon site was launched. As soon as the Aussie market opened up we shipped them all over here so we could finally start selling on our home turf :)

If you have any further questions please feel free to drop me a line as I’m not on this site frequently: [email protected]

Enjoy your cold brew and thanks for being a customer!
