I agree 100%.
That said, this is a portable little thing.And that price it preeeety good.

Relative to DJ equipment, yes a little more.
Hmm I had 400's and a Numark Midi deck, and preferred the Numark for the software functions and HUGE ASS laptop screen. However 400's are much more reliable so used them for any gigs as software on a laptop can crash.
Learning from the beginning though with Rekordbox and this DDJ200 would be probably better than the CDJ400 route, as all flagship XDJ lines are pretty much a mirror image of rekordbox now and browsing USB's full of music on the 400's little screen is painful
Sure horses for courses, completely hear you on the scrolling pain factor. I divide into genre and bpm folders which breaks it down alright though so it's not too bad for me.
hahah 'A little more' is 3 times the price..
Definitely recommend spending a little more, you can get 2 x CDJ400 and a DJM400 for around $600 on Gumtree which isn't a bad first setup.
