Bought this in the last deal. Hardly better than the TV speakers. Don't bother

    • Thanks mate. I was trying to chose between this and YAS-108.

I find it ok but it's only for bedroom it was purchased from bigw and I had some egift card left over and ended up cheaper, but was same price as above,I thought being Sony it be great and with a sub as well.
I do also have a Yamaha 108 which I got on a deal also but at the time I wanted something for bedroom and considered rrp I thought this was good price as jb hifi was full price and other places same.
I had my Yamaha first but I have yet to experience its capabilities as I have a cheap tv it's having issues with arc having had help on forums and emails from Yamaha have given up on arc so for me to get sound I have got a coaxial to optical convertor which I yet to install. Let's just say getting tv off and on wall is pain in ass to do,but hopefully once done the Yamaha with show how good it is. Obviously after getting this Sony I could have had another Yamaha instead and cheaper as well but thought I get something different.
I have no idea which is better as Yamaha has been nothing but hassle since day one, but that's not Yamaha fault but probably tv. But I believe it happens with a lot of other tv also.

  • Same price on amazon

Will be even cheaper with the cashback

  • I've got this and have been using it on my PC for casual listening, mainly music.

It's great for it's compact size, however for audio it's not that great. I find the sub is very lacking and sometimes, I had to put my ears next to it just to check if it's turned on.

I'd not recommend this base on my experience.

  • I have this soundbar. Works well when connected to a mi box using it's Bluetooth pairing. Audio seems to be in sync, for my eyes anyway. The audio is much better than the tinny sound my no name brand bedroom tv puts out. This would be sufficient for small lounge rooms. I also own a yamaha ATS1060. The Yamaha paired with a sub works even better than this.

    Edit: eyes and ears
