Me too. $117.20 with Amazon last April.

    • How close can you get to a good flat white from your favourite cafe with this?

      • +2

I reckon this will get you pretty close, if you have the right beans, grinder and of course skills to pull the shot properly.

      • +1

Pretty damn close! Combine this with the Breville grinder and fresh beans. I got this machine last year. Best decision ever. A bit slow if you want to make multiple coffees tho. It suits me as I only draw one espresso.

    • Got it from Costco and I've been using mine everyday

    • I got one as well. Very good machine,we make three coffee per day

when was it cheaper on amazon? shows lowest as $223.20 for me

This post remind me about there is one sitting in my garage since last year.

We have these at work. They take a hammering and mostly seems reliable. The only issue I have is a fairly small basket and it being pressurised only. The good thing is quick start up and it doesn't take up a lot of space.

    • Agree about the smallish basket, I changed it out for a deeper single wall one and haven't looked back.

      • Was that you who left a good review on Amazom.com.au ?

  • I got mine during the April 2018 Amazon deal.
It was working fine until it developed a leak 4 months ago. Now it’s leaking everywhere and unusable. I contacted Delonghi customer support and they asked me to ship it to service center at my own expense for repair. Seems like it’ll be cheaper for me to get a different machine instead of getting mine fixed.
It did make good Coffee when it was working though!
If you look on YouTube there’s some videos of this exact machine leaking, wonder if there’s a design flaw…

    • All just seals. Yours has slipped, cracked etc. Can't be too hard to work out.

      • Maybe if your handy to open up and find the leak and leaking seal/area, but bit tricky to find exact seal/gasket.

In saying that it can be done if put some time in and try to enjoy this project.

I opened it up to check, turns out it was leaking from a plastic Y-connector.

@fastnet: Well done for having a go.

Do you think you can get the faulty part?

            • @ozhunter68: I didn't look into buying the replacement part. I ended up throwing away the machine.
Now that I think about it, should've just fixed it myself :(

              • +1

@fastnet: I don't blame you for getting another working machine as I can't go without my morning decent coffee.

Next time maybe repair and re-sell, or gift it as long as it's an easy/cheap fix instead of throwing it out ( we have all done that with various goods ).

              • @fastnet: So it's gone? I 've seen a few Delonghi machines sitting in the Bunnings E cycle bin.

    • +1

sorry to hear that, and that customer return service sucks. luckily it isn't too expensive to just throw away and get another one.

I had a leak in mine about 3 weeks ago. Contacted Amazon, they told me to speak with the manufacturer. Turns out there's 2 year warranty on them.

I called Delonghi, they gave me a repairer to take it to. Guy said it would be at least 2-3 weeks before he could look at it.

Almost 2 weeks later, got a call, had a brand new replacement for me.

      • I got frustrated with mine and got rid of it. Should've just kept it. Oh well!

I got one with the last Amazon Deal for $150, best buy from amazon to date, in combination with the breville smart grinder.
Pulls a really great coffee and is really compact and doesn't take up much bench space.

    Can recommend getting this.

been using mine for a yr, average 1 cup per day, like it so far and still going strong.

ps: don't bother using the delonghi branded descaler, expensive as f***. just use good old white vinegar and it does the job for me at the cost of almost nothing.
