        im on optus shared data but kids smashed it hard and might run out this billing period.
        my y11 boy going to snow sunday so just need a data or data/calls sim to get him through the week he is at jindabyne..
        fk optus and there extra data packs there having a lend of anyone stupid enough to cop it.lol..

          tomorrow hop into coles and grab a Boost Mobile prepaid sim for $15 if you are needing it urgrently. Activate it on Friday morning/Thursday night in order to ensure that it works.

          Telstra will be about the only functional service provider there. grew up around that area and when we go home for Xmas other providers are shocking. this may be an anecdotal.

              @roosterman: Yes. You’ll receive the voucher email usually within 10 mins. Then grab a sim from United and port your number online.
              I do recommend porting in business hours/weekdays.

                get sim from servo and activate it .
                buy kogan voucher and add that to the servo sim..
                put in spare phone and hotspot data..
                does that sound right ?

    Do you have to enter billing details on amaysim when activating this deal? If so, is it easy to cancel before the 4 months end?

    I redeemed the SIM and order was processed on Monday 29/7. Was advised by Amaysim rep (had ring up to deal with order issue which got fixed) to verify my ID before activating the SIM so I did it on the day. Last night I logged into my Amaysim account and found out that my SIM was already activated and the clock has start ticking on my plan since Monday. Called them up again and Amaysim rep advised that the SIM gets activated upon redemption! Stupid system I reckon. Groupon's fine print on the activation process is incorrect. I think the SIM gets activated once you verify your ID online, which I could and should have done after I received the SIM and before 16/8. Anyway, Amaysim rep advised the 4 x renewals is equivalent to 4 x topups/recharges so my last recharge is on 18/11 which I have till 15/12 as the last day of use before it gets charged on 16/12. I think some of you thought the usage is 4 x 28 = 112 days but actually it's 5 x 28 = 140 days of usage upon redemption.

      Other users have reported that when you receive your SIM, you can go back to online chat and ask them to reset the start date.

      Good to know that 4x28 renewals is actually 5x28 days of service.

        The rep initially said once I start using the SIM it will reset the start date, but when I asked her again to confirm she placed me on hold on phone and gave me the above info. Anyway, no biggie - the SIM is for my parents who are just visiting and leaving end of November, so will be cancelling the SIM after they leave.

      Amaysim 30gb for $10. At least gives you a month while waiting for a better deal.
