Hack. Free Extra Size Luggage (Requires Kid with Pram)

Flew back from Bali with 3 surfboards in 1 bag on Jetstar. Bag weighed 22kg. Also took my kids. Front up to check-in with pram, cot etc. Jetstar let's these on complimentary but you have to take it to oversize baggage. Your given oversize tags. We choose to keep kidlet in pram right till boarding. So I just use pram tag for my quiver. The tags don't denote item or weight. It's really sweet.

One hack is there is no weight limit on the free baby goods you can take. So fill the Portacot bag with all your heavy gear, nicely padded in the bag too.

    • Ah the subtle act of deception and smuggling. It may not work all the time.

      • but 60% of the time it works all the time.

  • Make sure you only feed the kids bread and milk, keeps the weight down….

        Yeah.

On an unrelated note, what a terrible terrible thing that SIDS is…

        • This is a next level bargain strategy…. :|

    Jetstar let's these on complimentary

I mean, if people catch on and keep doing this, it won't stay complimentary.

  • Is there an age limit when kids are no longer legally allowed to travel in prams? Asking for a friend who has 12 old twins and would like to take advantage of this hack.
