Sorry Mostly Melbourne but I feel like the 'deals' posted from you have been getting progressively worse. This is a fairly poor price for this charger. Even for Australian stock.

That links makes the charger even more expensive once you add shipping ~$22 and it's shipped from outside AU

    • The first one is same product from overseas and 2nd one is totally different with a total output of 18W and no extension ability.

As you would know, Xiaomi (and its ecosystem brands) makes lots of different products and we choose to bring the best of the bunch to the AU market

    • Ah I see why there's a confusion with 2nd link, they mistakenly (or intentionally) used the wrong main image for that item listing.

Think about it, for almost the same price, the item in this post has

      • Double output at 36W
      • QC3.0 on both ports
      • Extension capability to allow for additional 63W (45W USB PD and 18W QC)

Think it's the of of charger that is interesting, charge MacBook or Nintendo switch in car ?

But only works with the other Xiaomi charger

Can we just plug a USB C cable directly to the extension port (without the pro expansion)?

    • Unfortunately no, it's a USB-C male plug on the charger hence requires that special extension component

      • So a USB-C to USB-C cable wouldn't work?

        • Correct, a standard C to C cable won't work.

Maybe a USB-C male to USB-C female extension cable could work (if fits)

    • It's a proprietary connection from the charger to the expansion accessory. For most of us, 2.25A @ 20V (45 watts) will do the job - and the BaseUS is $17.99 delivered

      • +1

Yes, previously we also sold Baseus ones which have very small footprint and ample output. However the main complaint is that the 20V output level (for laptops etc.) Can only be achieved when plugged into trucks and such that has 24V DC port when most cars are 12V

          Good pickup…
