Seems to be a good deal considering its lacie porsche design, might not be the best value per TB, but heck, you get a Porsche ;)

    Was all prepared to give you the "all drives fail, you can't judge a brand yadda yadda" but actually that looks pretty terrible.

    Love Louis Rossmann's videos. He knows his stuff.

    Stay away from Seagate Rosewood HDDs, they are notoriously unreliable.

    Lacie – Rugged Mini LAC301558/LAC9000298, Porsche models including the STET2000403 in this deal.
    Seagate Expansion – STEF1000401, STEA1000400, STEF2000401 and STEA2000400.
    Seagate Backup Plus – STDS1000900 and STDS2000900.
    Maxtor – HX-M101TCB/GMR and HX-M201TCB/GM.
    Laptops – Used to be commonly installed in many laptops but thankfully SSDs are more common now.

    Sorry OP, not your fault, but I've got to neg the deal because of the unreliability of this drive.

    These drives are cheaply made, unreliable and when they fail the data is often unrecoverable.

        These Porsche Design shells are made with thick layer of Aluminum. Much stronger than usual portable drives.
