Holden Cruze 2011 - Problems with Radio

Hi guys,

I have a 2011 Holden Cruze and need some proper answers about an issue I am having with the radio.

The radio itself is still working but the radio keeps flashing the Holden logo as if it’s almost trying to start up but then turns off but the radio is still playing in the background as it is doing this. I am unable to change radio channels whilst it is doing this or listen to music on my own USB.

I don’t know if this would be a fuse problem because I mean the radio is still technically making sound and what not it’s just displaying the Holden logo over and over which is annoying to see whilst I am driving. I don’t think it’s something that does need replacing but I could be wrong.

I have tried removing the negative cable from the battery to hopefully try to restore the radio but that was useless.

Any good answers would be helpful to hopefully get the radio to function as it was before.

    The radio is faulty.

  • Software problem - ring a Holden dealership for an update

I'd sell it before the auto transmission fails.

    • Haha yeh I have had too have the auto transmission replaced twice. I’ve only kept it cause it has an extended warranty on it and pays for most of the major parts like that if it fails.

Will never look at the car again.

  • Sounds like the LCD is farked.

  • Sounds like the radio is broken for sure

Given all of the other issues the Cruze had at that point, I would try and get rid of it ASAP.

    1. Take the radio out
    2. Throw the car away
    3. Throw the radio away
    4. Purchase a new car
    5. (Optional) purchase new radio.
