nah I wouldn't recommend side-by-side. Just not as flexible if you ever have that large plate or tray of something.
had the smae thought before buying but we've never actually had anything that wouldn't fit in the fridge
have to stand large frozen pizzas vertical in the freezer and the topping fall downwards …

Went to a HN and they only had 1 side by side. Seem everyone moved to French style, with drawer or now 4 doors.
yep side by side fridge the capacity is overstated. You can actually fit much more realistically into a top/bottom fridge than a side by side…
also the door opening to both sides might be inconvenient for some kitchen layouts where as most top/down fridge now can switch the door swing direction.
Might be ok for people who miss out on the Aldi fridge this Wednesday.
I find the top and bottom freezers annoying. The door is annoying and they generally feel flimsy.
Don't like that the freezer has all drawers and you have to keep bending down to get things.
Personal preference though

2.5 energy rating is very common, they cracked down on it years ago, it would have been rated 4-4.5 on the old scale
