  • Doesn't look like you can buy online. D'oh. Could have been $279 with paypal cashback.

    • It still can be $249 with AMEX $50 cashback.

  • i own this phone. It is great, and for this price you can't go wrong. mine was unlocked from crazy johns.

  • i've got two post paid phones from crazy johns in the past and they were both unlocked, although if pre paid that might be a different story

    • My prepaid Ideos X5 from Crazy Johns was unlocked

  • Awesome.

  • +1

    want x6 :(

    • Not set for release in Oz, apparently. They releasing the low-end X1 and X3 models instead.

  • What 3G bands does it work with?

EDIT: According to the CJ website it's on the 900/2100 bands for 3G

    • Anyone else having a problem with their site checking for store stock (says not online, in store only)? I keep getting only one store (Kalgoorlie) and it's listed as not having stock (not that I'd drive there anyway!!)

  • If anyone is having trouble getting hold of one of these, I have one as-new spare that my wife didnt want to use. Cant teach women how good Android is! Anyway, I know some people struggle due to sell-outs because of us fast ozbargainers, so if anyone wants it, $220 is all I'm asking. Its as-new, in box, with all originals.
I hope this helps someone if they miss out. Perth pickup is fine. Thanks guys.

  • @viper, $180 including postage and you have a deal!

  • Not that good. Virgin Mobile Xperia X10i Easy Cap 19 $410 min payment 24 mos. All virgin cap plans are openline.

    • Xperia X10i appears to have a lower quality / less responsive screen, is an older phone (by over a year), has an older version of Android on it - and only has a 1Ghz processor compared to the 1.4Ghz onboard the Huawei X5. Why pay for an inferior phone?

X5 on CJ's $19cap over 24mths is only $456. Comes with free mobile broadband data & more. Or you could get two X5's on a twin cap for $50 a month (total) with 200 free texts to any network & a 1gig mobile data per month on each phone.

DSE has always sold this phone for $299 via price matching CJ's, too.

      • X5 has 800mhz not 1.4ghz and a smaller screen.
Xperia X10i is getting gingerbread around Q3 August-ish(hopefully) though I would not be surprised if it is late again. X10i has one of the better cameras around a smartphone. General quality of the phone, I would have to choose Sony for aesthetics and build.

Crazy Johns 19 cap sounds a lot better especially the larger cap and cheaper data than Virgin's but it is vodafone. It is free texts OR data not both. Shared cap is just that, shared or half for each. But I'll give this one for CJs because 19 cap on Cjs is a better deal.
