I don't know much about drones to advice if this is a good drone or not but it seems like a good deal if it is, I'll let others judge.

I will also add that this site had some comments about overselling stock in the past/no stock, personally I've bought a Mova globe from them in the past with no issues however it's worth noting that some people have reported negative experiences with this site.

Capture amazing aerial footage with the Traxxas Aton Plus. With its high-performance and durability, this flying machine can take fun into the sky. It has easy-to-use features so anyone can capture images and videos effortlessly.

No camera included by the looks of it, and only 15min flight time… Meh

Looks interesting - $199 on ebay store also so can be loaded with the recent ebay deal codes for a slight further discount (thought shipping not free). It appears this drone is built as dual purpose and is fast for racing in expert mode. Youtube clips suggest around a 25min fly time with the 5000mah battery (15mins for the non plus model), and the 2 axis gimbal allows for a go pro or similar to be attached - possibly not as stable as the DJI stuff but for my purpose (never owning a drone before) I think it's a better than entry level option…Cheers…

Does this have a mode 1 or mode 2 radio transmitter …

      its in the manual

    • Description says multi-mode so it can be changed

  • 80kph! I'm tempted just to see it haul ass.

The Traxxas Aton has been out for a while now, but it’s really worth taking a second look at, especially given the low price it now sells for. You’ll not find the same compliment of features and capabilities in any other drone on the market and backed with such awesome customer support. The Aton can giddee-up to the tune of 50+ mph
right out of the box, it is fully GPS enabled, it can store or change Home Points for Return To Home convenience and it has an “Air Brake” that can be used as a bailout function. For a smidge under 300 bucks for the base model sans gimbal, you’re not gonna find more machine for less money anywhere.

    • 80km/hr isn't very difficult to achieve with a brushless drone for ~$100 aud. But at that price with GPS and a gimble it's pretty nice.

  • Anyone know if it has a follow subject funtion

    • Unlikely because the camera isn't built in, nor is it included. :(

Put it towards a spark instead

  • Im looking for a drone as cheap as possible (because of the risk) that I can use for fishing. Something capable of carrying sinker and bait out a couple of hundred meters - would this thing fit the bill? I know the Phantoms and whatnot are much better for it, but I wont risk big bucks over the ocean!

    • Hi Mate i'm in the same boat.

However, I just want a drone that I can program (via a phone) that to fly < 150m and drop off my bait and then return. I'm not really interested in flying the thing.
