Most people on here will never use these before they expire, so maybe try to not create the demand for more unnecessary waste to pollute the earth with.
People are wasting their time recycling with most going to landfill just to let you in om the secret bud .
While I agree with your comment on unnecessary waste that leads to polluted earth, these items have already been produced and will expire on 31/08/19.
This means that the items will be thrown out anyway as it is existing stock, if people purchase them and use even 1 of them before they expire, they have become more useful than if no one buys them and they all get thrown away without being used, making them indeed unnecessary waste.
Therefore by your logic, you should actually be encouraging people to purchase this item and use as many as possible.
