Casio ClassPad [Graphic] Calculator $78 [Was > $200]

290

OfficeWorks (where it was marked down, again, yesterday) had some. OW also had an A4-sized supplementary book, for $7.50 more (in the nearby books section of the store).

It's NOT the latest item in its class (as the box was stamped "2009 02"), but it's price is down, now, by > $120, so maybe someone will find it useful, at it new price.

Includes: USB cable & another for comms between 2 units; Algy 2 (to aid with Algebra); manuals; 4x AA batteries.

All NEW, in maker's box.

Author: Fixed grammar, etc.

  • Oh yes, these were quite expensive last year and the year before. Perhaps a new one is coming out. =) Either way, it is quite the deal! XD

  • Great find had the Algebra FX 2 for 11 years and still going. This model appears to be at the high end range http://www.casio-intl.com/file/calc/pdf/graphic_with_cas_spe…

You can't use a netbook during an exam.

      • Can't exactly use one of these during an exam either.

        • in qld you can!(well at least in my school)
That is school exams not QCS test

ah tru. forgot about that lol

ive never heard of or seen laptops being allowed in open book exams :S
          is that in junior grades??

        • Yes you can, in VIC for the calculator exams for : Specialist maths and methods maths, you are allowed CAS; whilst for further maths, you are let in with the CAS into both exams.

  • wonder if i'd be able to take this into uni exams :P

    • Depends if they say you can use a programmable calculator or not. Most likely not.

      • Haha, luckily I go to a relatively small university and the lecturers know all the students well - might just give them a call

  • There is a similar calculator for $12 at Ballarat officeworks. There were quite a few left on Wednesday.

    • I'd be surprised if that were true, it would be quite a bargain. Are you sure it was a graphics calculator?

Got one! Pretty awesome for $78!

    • I know right. Just a tip: try not to drop it too many times. I mine lost a 0.5cm horizontal line after 3 years of use. =) But I sold it for $145 bucks @ the beginning of the year. Win win! =D
