  • Thanks OP. These don't go on sale very often.

      besides the brand name
is dremel any better than the ones sold at aldi or supercheap auto?

Also the dremel bits fit on other rotary tools like from aldi or SCA?

      • +1

Some of the cheaper ones don't have variable speed so you have to make sure you're comparing apples with apples. My Ozito one does and the flexible shaft and cost a third of the above 'bargain' price. I have been very happy with it.

Some of the dremel bits like the cutting discs and drill bits are better quality however the wire brushes and grinding stones I can't tell the difference Between dremel and the cheapies.

    Already all gone!

    • I got on the wait-list and got one quick enough.
It's worth a try if you really want it

      • i'm on the waitlist - how do they notify you?

        • To quote Amazon;
When you're next on the waitlist, you'll see an alert in the upper right-hand corner of your Amazon.com.au page indicating that the deal is available.

This is the full help information on waitlists

      • EDIT Don't worry my mistake.

  • Damn. Great deal .

  • I jumped on the waiting list 10 mins ago

Just got a notification that it was added to my cart.

    Have now successfully checked out.

    Estimated delivery: Sep 10, 2019 - Oct 10, 2019

  • Back to $169?

  • +1

    missed it again.

  • Does this include the router attachment per the product images?

    • It says “Includes 3 Attachments and 36 Accessories”, so they should be included as per photo :)

  • I jumped on the wait list, but no dice. Sold out.

  • I own several of these rotary tools. I've got a Dremel, a couple of Ozitos and some no brand models. The no brands are rubbish, the Dremel is great, but I find that the Ozitos are 95% of the way there to the Dremel, and the only real difference is the accessories.

I used Dremel and Ozito at work, when I tried to drill a fine hair hole, Ozito ruined 3 of my fine drill bits in a row. Only the dremel can drill straight and he the job done.

    i'm unsure why i want a Dremel but i think i do

It's a very underrated tool IMO.

back to $169, not my lucky day.

  • Do you mean wish list? as I don’t see a wait list option to add

    Great for DIY dentistry.

  • At the regular price of $169 it's getting pretty close to the 4300 Bunnings have for $199. It's supposed to be a pretty good step up from 4000 to 4300.

I've wanted a Dremel for ages. I have a machine finish alloy wheel I need to polish a bit in a couple of places and the cost of getting it doneby someone is the same cost as getting my own dremel (which I can use for other projects :) )

Damn it - at $119 this would have been excellent

Better off buying the Ozito rotary tool and then buying the Dremel attachments to go with it.

    • thanks for that Clarence :) I'll keep an eye on Dremel deals but will most likely take your advice when I need this and there's no other deals

  • I have the same model. It's quality is on the rough and average side. Similar to the Chinese equivalent.
