  • how long do you find batteries last in these

    • Only just bought it today, but i've read online that it lasts up to a year on a full charge, given you get 30 notifcations a day or less. The battery technology in the camera is from Anker which is why it lasts much longer than the Arlo Pro 2

Eufy uses a larger 13400 mAh battery which is why it lasts much longer than the Arlo Pro 2's 2440 mAh.

        FTFY.

I bought one of these last month when there was a sale on Amazon. Coming from trying several different home surveillance options(inc Arlo and Hikvision IP cams connected to a NAS) I find this to be very easy to set up, use and keep track of notifications and well worth forking out the extra $$ for the simplicity without sacrificing much else.

There is still room for the software to be upgraded further(it by no means is underdeveloped, but there is plenty of potential still to leverage 'smart' capabilities eg. It can do facial recognition to let you know who it has captured in the shot but 90% of the time it doesn't properly recognise unless you are aligned perfectly as per it's reference picture you set, at this stage I see this function as being more of a gimmick rather than something that I could extract use from.)

I'm most impressed with how quick it is to load and playback live and recorded clips- it's much faster than the Arlo.

Wireless cameras go for reolink, really popular in the states and great quality.

    • Never heard this brand

      • Too bad for you, google it or youtube it, reolink are real good stuff. I would recommend them also, especially their battery powered cameras, no need for a home station, simple wifi will connect within seconds. App is superb too, user friendly and easy to operate

I almost pulled the trigger on these on a previous sale but decided against them as the base station has to have internet connectivity for recording to work. Also the batteries are non replaceable and estimated to last around three years.

    • Non replaceable batteries. FFS.
