    has anybody used 1?
im looking to replace Philips Beard trimmer 7000 Vacuum (the clip on the head broke and its already been replaced once)

    • +8

I use mine all the time. The attachment is great for keeping my beard even. Also use it without the attachment to line my beard and keep it clean every few days.
I tried an expensive electric shaver and this thing is better in every way for my use.

      • this is exactly how I shave, trim beard and line up. might return my broken 1 and see if I can replace it with this.

        • +1

You can’t go wrong with this then.

I've walked away from Philips with constant breaking of clips, they use the most brittle of plastics which also seems to resist all attempts at gluing.
Have a Braun now and it's far better build.

    • The shaver is excellent. I've had mine for over a year with the same blade still going strong. Granted that I don't shave as much as most men. You can't cut yourself which is a bonus but if you press to hard it will take chunks of skin off your throat.

I live mine and still my mind boggles just how it actually cuts anything. Mine replaced a wahl trimmer and also a Gillette 3 in 1 style trimmer shaver and it is far better than that. I only use the blade and no attachment. If I was using it for precision tinning of a beard or something I would probably use one of those digital mm adjustment trimmers. You can't go wrong with this shaver.

    • Philips replaced mine for free. Have you asked?

These are great for a fairly close shave without the skin irritation. Replacement blades are currently 2 for $33.95 and last me about 3 months each.

    • +1

I still get irritation shaving without the guide annoyingly

      $43.72 on your link….what the

I've been waiting for blades to go on sale. And they've been $39 even up to on the weekend

      • Same

      • That went up as I checked within a few minutes of posting.

      • I ordered just before posting the link. It was sold and shipped by Amazon AU, so maybe they sold out?

      • I ordered two packs when it said “Hurry, only three left” so… sorry?

    • How often (ball park) do the blades need to be replaced?

  • +4

    any deals on replacement blades?

    • Are you all for worn replacement?
Dropped mine few times and the rubber/plastic part in the blade broken in to 2 pieces.

  • Thanks op. Purchased. Have the normal version and it's great.

  • Thanks op, just what I needed

  • This is great. I usually use this for shaping the beard, and trimming the beard - if its a bit too unruly I go over it with a Wahl Beret Pro beforehand (as used by a few hairdresser places I went to).

    • Plus $7.95 freight, unfortunately

      • Fair point, only useful I guess if you have one local for C&C

      • +1

Free shipping if you spend $49 so 2 packs.

  • great device,highly recommended

  • Thaks op,my father will likes it!

  • Bought, thanks you slack-jawed yokel

      Awww thanks Brandine

  • Thanks, op!

  • Use mine regularly for shaving my cheeks and neckline, and to keep my beard at ~4mm.

Absolutely love it. Only needed to change the blade once every 6 months or so.

  • Is this good for shaving or is it more just a beard trimmer?

    • +1

      It's good for shaving too.

      • So it’s good if you want to keep a bit of length?

        • Idk I’ve heard that the Phillips one isn’t so good for clean shaves. It is moreso for maintaining beards, so it’s better for what you want.

          • +1

@ATangk: I find it’s better for clean shaves. And a bit of beard neatening.

  • This is different to the Australian Pro version on shaver shop, there version has .4mm,.6mm,.8mm,1mm,1.5mm compared to this one that has .5mm then 1mm and 1.5????

    • Tbh I don’t rate the plastic guide thing that highly. The shaver works a bit differently to a normal set of clippers and I find it to not work that great unless it’s for a clean shave or edging your beard up.

      • True. If I'm trimming heard length, I use a different trimmer.
This is great for a clean shaven, from 3 or 4 day growth even more, without leaving stubble.

      Listing says:

      12 length settings from 0.5 - 9mm

      • -2

I can read. I'm talking about the lower settings being different to the shaver shop pro version eg. My first post

        • +2

If you can read then borrow a book on manners and then do your own research.

After a little research I discovered that there are two versions of the Philips One Blade Pro; QP6510/20 and QP6520/20.
      QP6510/20 is .5mm to 9mm whereas QP6520/20 is .4mm to 10mm
QP6520/20 seems to also have an inbuilt LCD display for battery life.

I was also wondering the same thing.
