  • The build quality isn't great for the price point

    • Agree, have one and build wholly from cheap, brittle plastic. However it sucks real good. Not sure about Mieele

      • Funnily enough it's an off the shelf Panasonic motor+impeller that does the sucking. And even that's a cheapy part

        • How’d you find that btw, can u link?
          Can’t see anywhere online

          • @[Deactivated]: It's in the teardown/assesment video I linked in the first post just after the 11:50 mark in the video

            • @Carnal: Cool will check it out. :)

    • As an owner of a previous gen model.
While I agree it is hard plastic, it seems to be modern plastic which is quite tough.
I actually had a uh-oh moment when emptying the bin.
When taking it apart to wash just the clear outer shell, I put it up on a low wall, and it rolled and fell off onto the ground. Thought it would break but it was fine.

The instructions tell you to fully dry the bin at ter washing, so I leave it to dry taken apart.
Having the design stopping it from rolling would be nice.

  • No filters to wash or replace.

Is this actually true? I love Dysons but I know the handheld does have a filter you need to wash.

There’s no filter, but the annoying thing is that when lift the bin up, some dust drops onto carpet and terrible design tbh. Don’t wpknow how tf did they not get dust on their hands when dumping dust.

I have a Dyson vacuum cleaner very similar to this one. I have used it 2 to 3 times a week for the past 9 years and still going strong until this very day. If you ask me they are definitely worth it.

    • Yes we own a previous generation model also, and agree it is a workhorse.
We still have an even older smaller barrel model, and it still works, we use it occasionally for the really rough stuff (pets, spilled dirt / sand / dust etc).
