  • Annual fee?

    • It seems its 99$

      • So really you get $100 back worth of flybuy points.

        • I think 40000 is $200 worth of flybuy points :)

          • +2

            @shahrah: You're paying $99 for $200 of flybuys dollars
            Or 870x10 8700 VFF
            If wait for 15% flybuys extra
            8700x1.15 = 10005 vff for $99.

              @fadeinthemix: Correction: 40000 points
              870*20 or 17400 VFF
              with 15%: 20010 VFF for $99

              • @z28: @z28 Thank you. I did 2 halves when I should of done one

          • +2

            @shahrah: $200 flybuy points - $99 annual fee = net $101 is what I think alz is getting at

            Edit - pipped by fade

            • @slimdealin: Isn’t 40,000 flybuy points only $40?

              • @Annie125: No Annie, each 1000 points is worth $5.

                Confirmed by my current 18,000 point balance being equal to $90 in the app.

                • @slimdealin: Oh yes, sorry was confused with the $50 reward when you spend 4x$50 spend, thinking it was 50,000 reward when only 10,000.

                  Yes, $40,000 = $200

                  Thanks

    Well that sucks I just signed up for one for $0.

    Worth noting - no Google Pay support, but does have Samsung Pay. SP really sucks though it's a pain to use.

    • Thanks for your info! I've been checking and waiting for Coles supporting a digital wallet.

      SP has always been working well for me for all my Debit & Credit cards.

      • I was going to cancel on account of the fact I couldn't pay by phone. Rang them up and asked about Google pay looked at their site etc. Randomly type it into SP and voila. They could have mentioned that haha.

        I guess it works I hate having to open the app first and select the card and ID yourself. Gpay so much simpler and th layer SP had provides no actual extra security.

  • Do they offer free coles delivery for coles online orders if you have this card?

    • Free delivery perk ended earlier in the year.

  • Is this targeted? I can't see any mention of bonus points in the link provided

  • +1

    The most positive thing with this card is that you get 1% back for all purchases in form of FlyBuys points.

    • till this date is still the highest return for any credit card right? I couldn't find any better alternatives and have been using coles card for all purchases for the past 2 years

      • agreed unless using ff points cards and have the opportunity to redeem. this card is by far the easiest.

      • Depending on what you want:

        Some Amex has higher point earn
        For propriety dollar (not valid anywhere else), Jetstar MC gives back 2% for first $2500 and 1% after that

    • +1

      The downside is as a long term card you need to spend $9900 on the card annually before you the 1% has covered the annual fee, of that Bpay payments don't count. Think bonus point earning cards with zero annual fee promotions in the first year offer more benefit than keeping this card.

      • But probably the lowest annual fee rewards card around.

        • Personally I use the no annual fee coles rewards card for all other purchases when AMEX isn't accepted and I don't at the time have a higher earning card I'm using. It's not much as it's only 1 fly buys point spent per $2, aka .25% off but it's better than nothing. I wouldn't spend over $10k a year on that card though which makes it hard to justify this card with the annual fee.

  • Got an email stating: you can now add your Coles Credit Card to Apple Pay or Samsung Pay.
