Been seeing this all the time from Facebook ads, some people saying it is really hard to get approved, not sure the criteria though 🤔

You're a sole trader, a partnership with up to two partners, a company with up to five directors, or a trustee of an eligible fund.
You're registered for GST, have a turnover of at least $75,000 per year, and operated under your current registered ABN or ACN for more than 12 months.
You're at least 18 and a permanent resident of Australia.

Yes these are official minimums, but they want an arm and a leg in financial records for approval. It's extreme compared to other banks

        • True that! It took 3 months overall to get approved with tens phone calls and visit to a branch. A similar application with Amex took a few hours. Also, once approved you'll get into wonders of multiple business accounts, poor invoicing, and no notifications when to pay and how much. NAB business cards department is a huge waste of time.

@candobetter: Yep 100%. I got approved for the amex business Qantas rewards just by filling out the application. Wasn't required to show them any financials, was a very smooth and easy process

    • easier to get ANZ one?

Anything good for non-business credit cards?

  • You can get this card with no annual fee if your mortgage is with NAB.

I got this card a few months ago. They need to log into your Xero account for some business records. The whole process was painfull and severly lacking in communication. i had to ring them multiple times just to find out what to do next.

    • Yes it's a joke compared to other banks.

  • What's a good card to churn out of Westpac? For high personal usage.

  • I got this card last year when it was 200k points

Process of application is different being commercial credit. You need to be on boarded, submit a paper form or be connected to accounting system

Overall it was cumbersome however largely reasonable to do given all the staff were based locally in Melbourne. I’ve had personal cards with automated applications far more difficult than this one

Would I do it again? Absolutely

  • would it be possible to get one of these if you are retired, have an ABN and show that you are generating significant investment revenue or does it really need to be a business like a contractor or small business?
