      Yes.

    • +5

      Nah, it’s mixed.

Pack has noodles plus 2 sachets:
1 sachet for seasoning (spicy and everything else)
1 sachet for flakes (seaweed + sesame seed)

Skip this one (and most samyangs) if you don’t like spicy ;)

    • +2

This noodle is made specifically for people who wants really spicy noodle, so skip this. i would grab paldo bibim myun instead. They are more in the mild side in spice and really tasty.

      • So many Korean branded noodles when I go Asian noodle aisle I'm lost as to which to buy…

  • +2

Trick is to put less than a 1/4 of the chili pack in there. Otherwise its too hot!

    • +19

      You're dead to me.

      • +2

        You'll come around.

  • I had some Samayang hot ramen for the first time recently. I like spicy food, but this was so spicy I immediately got hiccups while eating it and had to throw the whole thing out. When you're in physical pain from food it's no good.

    • +1

Lol, couldn't have said it better but aside from the spiciness, the noodle is actually very tasty and has a very nice falvour.

    • -6

Im gona buy a pack today and if they arnt as hot as you all are crying about im gona be mad… Lol its rare to find food i think is to spicy. When i last made arabiata i used 4 ghost chillies 3 trinidad scorpians and 5 blacktiger/trinidad scorpian mix ive propigated which resulted in a larger looking birdseye thats like 80% hot seeds πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. That was between 2 people and i was like yum my mate almost died and he also likes chilli πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ was better then the time i made us ghost chillie poppers.

      • Keep us posted.

        • They were decent, maybe a 7/10. Hottest pre-bought food ive ever had besides those "worlds hottest chips"

          • @Seedy seed: Did you get the those normal version in the black packaging or the 2 x Spicy version in the red packaging?

            • +1

              @Sainter4Life: 2x spicy

              • -1

@Seedy seed: 2X is essentially the same as the original release. Theres been numerous Youtubers who burnt their mouths out eating them, so thus they've released more friendly versions.

                • @cheapy: Oh ok. There a decent noodle but i still prefer the maggi chicken of my childhood πŸ˜‚

  • +1

I was just in woolie cant make up my mind, decide not to buy, how is this compare to shim ramen at woolie?

    • +7

Different type of noodle. This is like a dry stir fried kind and the spicy level of Shim Ramen is nothing compare to this.

      • +1

Good thing I decide not to buy, shim ramen is spicy enough for my taste.

      • is it Shim Cup?

  • +1

I now want to buy this just to find out whether I can stand the spiciness.

    • +9

      Then call yourself ChiliBro

      • After eating this he'll need to ChillBro again.

  • +4

    Hot deal op

Just in case you all have forgotten. Chilli may be linked to Dementia.

    https://www.alzheimers.org.uk/news/2019-07-23/eating-spicy-f…

    • +10

I had forgotten. I eat too much spicy food, apparently.

      • +3

        may be

        LOL

Since everything will kill us and cause cancer or dementia, let's just enjoy life lol

    • I see what you did there.

      • What did he do

        • +1

          can't tell if serious.

          "forgotten", "dementia"

  • +2

Reminder for all :) A typical chili pepper packs more vitamin C than an orange _ Eat 'em hot XD

    https://www.chilipeppermadness.com/chili-pepper-health-benef…

    • Eat my orange slices dipped in chilli pepper.

  • +2

For those that are unaware, the 2x spicy one is also available at the same price.

  • Are these tastey? Better then shinryamun or indomi noodles?

    • +1

They are really tasty. Better than Shin imo but they are a dry noodle so different style anyway. Indomie is the king but again these are a different flavour so it's good to mix it up. They are very spicy, suggest using less of the seasoning on the first try.

      • Cheers πŸ˜€ however think i will take the challenge

    • yes way better than them, if it's ur first time making this dont put too much chilli sauce flavour, just put about 1/2 of the packet if u can handle. If you can't handle spicy food then put like a tablespoon.

  • +4

It is $3.50 at my local Hanaro mart.

    • +1

Good priceπŸ‘ So many Hanaromart popping up in Brisbane region. Great for Korean & Japanese food!

      • It's already hot up there. Bring it down south

    • Couldn't find 2 pack at Carindale store - it's tiny. 5 pack normal price is $8.80.

      • +1

        Try Calamvale store.

        • Guess Sunnybank store should also stock these.

  • I got something similar from Costco last week $9.50 20pk and dang it's spicy!

    • +1

      Which ones?

  • Do these burn on the way out?

    • +1

Yes. It goes exactly like this.

  • +3

Just a tip for those that haven't had these before. The 2x spicy ones claim to be ~8000 scoville. On the face of it this doesn't seem very spicy, but be warned that they are MUCH spicier than you'd expect. I grow my own ~1m Scoville chili's and I can handle the heat from them pretty well, the 2x spicy noodles are too hit for me so I'd say 8000 is a big fat lie.

    • +1

Agreed! I love a superhot chilli, and seriously doubt that the 2x spicy ones are only 8000 scu, based on eating them regularly.

    • +2

The actuality of it is that its more likely your chillies are in the 20000 range. There are certain things you must do to get them to reach those highs like feeding them right and water stressing the plants ect. Dry chillies also have a heat thats more evened out than fresh.

      • +1

Scoville isn't a very 'reliable' unit in the first place?
Better off asking what your local South Asian guy rates how hot something is.

  • To make it milder and enhance the taste (and un-healthiness), add a tablespoon of butter and mix it up

  • -2

    careful this is not Samyang

    • So, this one is an imitation? Does it differ much?

    • +2

It is Samyang. Woolworths just made a typo

  • a slice of cheese and/or onions work too!

  • Pretty sure I've tried these before, almost died…

  • They've been on sale since last Wednesday in VIC.

  • +1

Taste great going in .. hurts going out

    • -1

i never truly tasted the chicken flavour in any of these

  • +2

    CAUTION

this burns on the way in, in the middle, and on the way out. make sure you have nothing going on the rest of the day or even 2 days.

  • Tip: if you want to make it hotter use less water than in the instructions during the stir fry bit

    • I just drain all the water.
Wouldn't the water make it hotter (having to drink it)

  • Enjoy the prolonged toilet break.. and don't eat it at work

  • Pretty cheap product of South Korea

I presume this is not what the likes of Song Hye-kyo & Park Bo-gum would eat?

  • they are spicy!!!

  • +1

any non spicy ones that are on special?

  • If u add some pizza cheese here very nice try it!

    • "Pizza cheese" wtf do you mean Mozarella?

  • +2

These are sooooo fricken good, not even that hot going in , but coming out u will destroy da toilet and ur buthole but sooooo worth

  • I paid 16$ on ebay for a pack of 3 as these are not available in Cairns WW or Asian stores I checked. Got them just to see how spicy they were, but I felt they were fine. Just a little on the spicier side for me. Neither did it hurt my tummy nor the exit gate. Next, 2X spicy on the way ;)

  • +1

I tried the 2x in the past.

It's just way too spicy to be able to enjoy the flavours.

Our cancer ranking no.1 is mainly caused by the sun, while theirs….I got a good gut feeling it comes from too much instant noodle and bbq food (carcigens from the overburned meat)

  • Hot and Spicy just like the girlfriend you want to have :)

  • Buldak bokkeum YUM! Love the 2x spicy ones bring on the heat :D

They take some getting used to, but really nice flavour

  • +2

the hottest instant noddle i have ever tried! highly recommended

  • -1

doesn't taste like real chilli … almost medicinal

  • Sodium.

  • I still have so much stock :/
need to finish all that first!
I love removing the water and making this noodles as just noodles and not ramen. it's soo goood and soo spicy! but sometime I don't put all that chilli flavour in, it can be too spicy without water :)

    • Wait hang on, is it supposed to be made with water? All this time I've been cooking the noodles, draining the water then stirring in the sachet.

      • +1

Well it is called Ramen for a reason haha! but I never follow the instructions when making noodles like this I just do my own way! straining the water is the way! so u get all that yummy flavour in the noddles and not in the water hehe :D

        • +3

Yeah these types of noodles are meant to be drained first then you mix in the sauce.

        • Tip: Drinking the hot lava water makes it hotter.

    • I think you're supposed to drain water with these.

  • Is this noodle like Indomie in Woolies, where the "imported" version tastes different to the local version?

    • yummier and spicier than indomie! this noodles is made out of wheat and has less calories! It's made in Korea

      • yummier and spicier than indomie!

you trying to rock the boat?

  • Taste very nice but you will feel your pain in toilet. πŸ˜…

    • this is nothing than an uber hard constipation that leads to slight tear which resulted in bleeding

      • TMI

  • +1

    No stock in QLD?? ha

    • +1

$1 Cheaper in Brisbane & Toowoomba at Hanaromart

    • Some Woolies in Brisbane show available stock - eg most stores in Sunnybank area, where these will be appreciated. None in regional cities I checked on Woolies site.

      • Well, it's not just Asians who enjoy, we are multicultured, I wouldn't mind tryin different things
