  • Cheaper than JB hifi

    • +3

Jb sells the 9T not pro version.

  • Thats basically original chinese price - nice!

Wise to confirm before you order after this debacle

    • -1

Maybe they sold more than what they really have that's why some didn't get it. This deal is good because of the pricing. I am sure they have enough stocks for this. Not everyone is buying one.

      • +1

They oversold a product and mucked people around after taking their money. Its their fault, not the customers.
"I'm sure they have enough stock"…. how are you sure?

  • Will these come in red or only black?

  • This phone seems great from what I've seen, but I wish it had the SD card slot to save the extra 60 bucks.

I think I'm going to go with the 9T, I don't plan to play anything heavy enough to warrant the extra 100 bucks for the Pro.

I'm planning on checking it out instore at JB first though.

    • It's an amazing phone for the price good battery life good camera with gcam using it as my daily -9t non pro

    • 9T is fine if you don't play games. However this post here for 6/64 could be a bit limiting.

  • Non-pro should be back in stock today according to email.

  • is there an 8gb ram version?

  • using 9t non pro now, can't complain. pro is overkill for me.

  • Can someone please let me know if I will be able to make a switch from a Nokia 7 plus to this without any hassles? Mainly concerned about the ability to have google play store installed on the device.

    • It's the global version of the phone, it'll have google play and all normal google stuff.

      • Thanks mate. Appreciate your help.

  • Good phone. I just ordered the Redmi K20 Pro 8GB/256GB (I believe the 9T Pro is the same) yesterday for AU$633 though.

    • +1

K20 Pro is not a global version and missing some bands such as popular B28. But if you are using the vodafone network, it should be ok.

      • Thanks - I thought they were exactly the same. I found this to highlight the differences (Band 28 is indeed missing in the K20 Pro).

        https://www.kimovil.com/en/compare/redmi-855,xiaomi-mi-9t-pro

In a nutshell, the extra 4G/LTE bands which the other doesn't have shows as follows:

        9T Pro extra bands:
        B2 (1900)
        B4 (1700/2100 AWS 1)
        B20 (800)
        B28 (700)

        K20 Pro extra bands:
        B34 (TDD 2100)
        B39 (TDD 1900)
        B41 (TDD 2500)

  • In China:
    Redmi K20 Pro
    6+64: 400AUD
    6+128:412AUD
    8+128:446AUD

I would rather buy it with Chinese Price and get it shipped to Australia.

    • +1

where do you see those prices and what is the difference with the "international version"? Never understood that. If it is is just the language then it is easy to change to English, right?

      • Prices come from the largest few online stores in China. The K20 Pro comes with Chinese Edition MIUI which is filled with Ads. And it lacks Band 28 for Australian.
I don’t know whether it’s possible to flash the international Rom.
Price wise the K20 Pro is much better. But 9T is not that bad considering Ads and B28.

        • MIUI when you select region AU it does not show ads. That's all BS scare tactics. K20 Pro does lack B28 for the Chinese version but that depends on which network you are with.

You can flash global (Indian K20 Pro, but still won't give you B28) ROM onto even Chinese K20 Pro as you can request to unlock bootloader, then just Fastboot and miflash it. TWRP and Fastboot. It is already pretty open phone with custom ROMs, TWRP Support on XDA Dev.

    • "I would rather buy it with Chinese Price and get it shipped to Australia"

Don't expect any warranty for the price. I haven't seen anyone posting their warranty experience with Toby deals.

  • I saw many deals from Banggood. Even cheaper.

    • +5

      How come you didn't post?

      • I don't want to post. So many deals of this products.

        • Just looked and they were more.

  • People need to be careful when comparing this to the K20 Pro. The K20 Pro is a Chinese market version of this phone, that means it doesn't support the same cellular frequency bands and does not support the Widevine L1 codec, this means no HD Youtube or Netflix on the K20 pro. As far as I'm aware the 9T pro does (don't quote me on this, do your own research as info on this is limited).

    • Widevine L1 is overated. Typing this on a K20 Pro 8/128 here with L3 and I get YouTube 1080p which is perfect for the phone as it is only 1080p!

No B28 but I am on voda and Optus only.

      • No HD netflix though

        • I have a Pocophone and watch Netflix without an issue. Do u really see the HD in such a small screen? I am happy with it.

          • @lukasok: The Pocophone eventually got an update to support Widevine L1.

  • Will google pay work on these?

    • +1

Read my comment a few posts up, and yes it will work. As this is the global version, all google apps should work.

  • Oneplus 7 pro might just end up being around the same price once the Oneplus 7T pro releases.

  • I thought the Global version is based on K20 Pro India version which is 6/128 instead of 6/64?
Still this is a good price solid spec

  • Any recomendations or add-ons to this phone people have tried for wireless charging? Been looking for a 'decent' phone that is around this price but also includes wireless charging as well…

  • What is the fuzz about Band 28? I have a Pocophone without B28 and it is all good with Telstra, I get 100Mb in the CBD and still have signal in regional areas. Does anyone know the difference?

    • im using pocophone in regional area.. but on vodafone.. doing just fine everyday. full bars. but planning to update to mi 9t pro

  • It says $540 do we need to pay get on the top
