Good pick up, this condition shall be on the header instead of hiding in small print

      • +1

TBH I dont see this being a bargain

    • +6

So, to get the voucher, you have to switch with them and stay for 90 days - even though they by definition don't have the best price?

What a joke - it's set up to be virtually impossible to get the voucher in the first place and even if you do, you're probably going to have to pay more through a higher bill.

Don't waste your time - deal expired on 22/8! https://www.econnex.com.au/online-signup-terms-and-condition…

      There are two campaigns here:

First: EnergySwap - If we can't save you money on your energy bills and you haven't changed provider in the past 2 years …we'll send you a $25 Woolworths eGift Card*.
Second: Switch online and get $25 Woolworths eGift Card*

      • -1

Switch campaign t&c show it has expired.

Filled in the details - site could not offer cheaper plan. Haven't changed provider for over 2 years. Not asked to upload Bill.

But no way to apply for $25 Woolworths eGift Card - despite meeting conditions: If we can't save you money on your energy bills and you haven't changed provider in the past 2 years …we'll send you a $25 Woolworths eGift Card.*

I compared and none of the recommended retailer cheaper than what i am paying now. How Can I get the $25 gift card? where do I send my bill to?

        • Hi, our team will contact you. Alternatively, please email to [email protected].

Something as important as power I think your better off using a govt official site ( covering the ones these private companies don't get commissions ) rather than a these companies using selected companies for the sake of maybe saving $25 .

Bottom of there page in small print confirms the above .

    • I found the government compare site to be profanity

Compare the market is yet to let me down

Got my voucher last time round
No issues except you'll get a couple very pushy sales calls haha

Legally, you are not offering that according to your t&c shown in Switch Offer popup after entering details.
So can't rely on this offer!!

Come back when you update t&c in offer!

T&C were dodgie in previous offer - many complained about the Deal!

        • Hi Infidel, i think we are mixing up two different offers here.

EnergySwap Offer is about comparison and gets $25 gift card if we can't save money. Terms: if someone has not switched in the last two years. This offer is to motivate millions who have not compared in the last few years.

Online Signup: Anyone who signs-up online on Econnex will get another $25 gift card. We recommend switching only when one saving money energy bills.

          • @Manyo: Have you actually tried this Deal??

Clicked Deal, entered bill details, compared - not cheaper. No details of how to get offer of $25 egift card👎

Clicked on the Switch Offer pop up - T&C show Switch offer is expired👎

No wonder Econnex has a bad reputation here!

            • @INFIDEL: Hi Infidel,

The deal is not about entering the bill details. It says, if you have not switched in last two years, Econnex team will be in touch to find out the same. If you haven’t changed in the previous two years and we cant save you money, then you would be eligible for $25 Woolworths Gift Card.

              Online Signup T&Cs:

³If you take up the Online Signup Offer with Econnex between 22 July 2019 and 22 August 2019, CIMET Sales Pty Ltd will send you a Woolworths eGift Card to the value of $25 for eligible signups. • @Manyo: Did you read your own comment?? T&C state expired 22/8!!
Deal was reported as expired ages ago.

                • @INFIDEL: Hi Infidel, now i know the issue.

There is a Test link on one of the above posts wherein the expiry was on 22 August 2019.

                  Live website has: https://www.econnex.com.au/online-signup-terms-and-condition…

                  • @Manyo: That link again shows offer expired on 22/8. That's the same t&c link in this Deal.

Legally this is a expired offer!

                    Econnex is Hopeless!

                    • @INFIDEL: Try to open that link on Private Window. Seems like you have previously clicked on the test link.

                      • @Manyo: I clicked on the link in this deal after entering Bill details.

Not worth wasting my time over!

                        • @INFIDEL: I can confirm ONLINE SIGNUP DEAL ends on 31 October 2019. This deal is different from EnergySwap deal.

                          • @Manyo: Legally that does not override t&c on the offer site. So is useless.

This current offer can't be trusted!!

No wonder people have complained about your t&c

                            • @INFIDEL: For the record, on the same link, you have mentioned that you received your $25 Woolworths Gift Card. Not sure, where are the issues then?

                              • @Manyo: Was now signing up family member.

I received $25 & previously supported that Deal against others criticism.

But this offer t&c are just too vague to waste my time on.

                                • @INFIDEL: Thank you very much. Really appreciate it.

I am just trying to answer the queries here and help people maximising the opportunity.

                                  • @Manyo: Better get T&C on offer site correct first! T&C were used to deny $25 to others in that previous deal.

I would not trust this Deal!
                                    Bye!

              • @Manyo:

The deal is not about entering the bill details.

That's not what is stated above!

Fine Print of offer in Deal Description states:
Enter your postcode. Follow the prompts by entering your latest electricity bill details & upload a clear copy of the same bill

There is no way I could see to upload a clear copy of the same bill as required in the Fine Print!

In the previous deal, people were refused their $25 egift card because they did not meet all the conditions… Especially the uploading of the Bill!

Seems The deal is not ALL about entering the bill details! They're needed for the comparison site to function.

How many more details of this Deal & your advice are inaccurate??

  • Having used comparison sites for electricity and other services in the past I found out the hard way that most, if not all, should be avoided like the plague. They usually have terms and conditions similar to those shown below, which result in you receiving umpteen dozen phone calls from them and, quite likely, the third parties that they pass your details to, despite the third parties’ calls being contrary to Do Not Call.

“Please note our Privacy Policy specifically sets out that:
    we may use “cookies” and “pixel tags” to track the websites that you visit for marketing purposes;
    we may contact you in direct marketing campaigns;
we may pass your details to third parties; and
you agree that we are not responsible for the manner in which any third party stores or uses your information, even if we passed it to that third party.”

Those Ts&Cs are on the Econnex website at https://www.econnex.com.au/energyswap/

I got mine in the past so thank you.

    • This is a very different Deal!

Was much easier in past deal as Bill was required to be uploaded, checked, & $25 egift card sent out (eventually) - just for using their site (if met conditions).
But some were denied Luckily, didn't even receive a sales call.

Now receive pushy sales call asking for more details & trying to sign up immediately to a plan, with no mention of $25 egift card!
Explained comparison plans shown were dearer than current plan. That was ignored.

Now need to either sign up for plan or show our existing plan is cheaper than their plans… Rather than just using their comparison site in last deal.

So not sure family member will be seeing the $25 egift card this time.

Use the State government sites; Energyswitch in NSW, and Energy compare in VIC ($50 sent to you just for using). They have all available plans and take no commission from retailers. Also accurate comparison from using an energy bill.

  • Received a very pushy sales call from Econnex today…

02 80666986 & same person called again on
03 99786978 - a search showed that number has been complained about for "nuisance calls, lot of them lately"
Caller was very hard to understand & talked quickly, needed to ask to repeat many times.

    Call started with…
Why didn't you complete the sign up?
Because rates on comparison site were dearer than currently pay.

    They checked address & details.
Said there is a cheaper plan (but not according to what I saw on the comparison site), & very quickly rattled off the complex details…

They wanted to sign family member up immediately!!

That's how they make their money - pressuring people into changing without making an informed decision💰

We refused. Said we needed to see the full details before we make any decision.

They agreed they will send them & call back.
But no email received with details.

Expecting another pushy sales pitch, ignoring what was wanted.

    Not a pleasant experience.
Ignored fact that the comparison plans were dearer than current plan.

So much for If we can't save you money on your energy bills and you haven't changed provider in the past 2 years …we'll send you a $25 Woolworths eGift Card.

    Not worth the hassle!
