Unless the store is Uniden, post doesn't meet guidelines.

I'd be surprised if a manufacturer of these products (Uniden) only had a 28 feedback profile after 3 years of selling on eBay.

Uniden Factory Outlet sells a range of consumer electronic products including Security and Surveillance Cameras, UHF CB & Marine Radios, Dash Cams, Jump Start Kits, Phones and so much more. Uniden was established in 1966 in Japan and produce award winning products year after year. Uniden produces technology for living life to the full and to keep you connected.

They may well have registered the username a while ago and only recently started to sell. They may also not leave feedback to buyers which apparently significantly affects the number of buyers leaving feedback to the seller.

          • @Flyerone: Fair enough, hope its a legit store and not a dodgy name knock off with 28 feedback rating. I'm sure it is Uniden Australia's official eBay store.

            Cheers.

  • Better / newer than 50R ?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/472963

  • Don’t expect to use this for Uber in Qld or some other states, strict guidelines on what you can legally use, generally cams that cost over 2k and have key features required by law, usng these for Uber in some states can get you into big trouble, most of the dashcam sellers leave the info out because one or two states allow them and it’s not their responsibility to make sure you follow the rules in your specific state.

    • But Uber is exempt from the QLD legislation right?

      https://www.tmr.qld.gov.au/business-industry/Taxi-and-limous…

… where the service meets any of the following risks:

      1) driver or passenger is anonymous (for example rank and hail work)
      2) cash transactions
      3) point of payment is made in person before, during or after the journey.

Neither 1, 2 or 3 apply to Uber, not sure why the cameras are required tbh? I must be missing something.

This simply means you can operate Uber without a cam, but if you want a cam it needs to be an approved one.

        • Read further, thanks. That is such a nanny state law, i thought we were bad in NSW. Feel for the QLD public transport drivers.

@MorriJ: Yeah, it’s essentially forcing Uber drivers to have no cam at all, cam not worth the expense for casual earners and with the fees from Uber, even dedicated drivers won’t buy approved cams. Gov has made it unsafe for driver and passengers.

  • Almost tempted to "click" buy… but want "smart" phone connectivity… :-S

  • Note that the night footage is not the same cam. (Uniden - iGO CAM 85R Dash Cam Sample Footage (Night))
