The projection clock I bought from Aldi is dying. I thought this might be a good replacement. I have a projection clock in my bedroom because sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night wondering what the time was.

Those of us who bought this from last year's deal, please comment on the quality. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/401181

  • Would also like to know about the quality :)

  • i ask google home mini for time

I do too sometimes, but if I do that in the middle of night, might wake the missus, then it will really cost me. :) Better to just spend the $13 and buy a projection clock. I only ask Google Home mini for the time during the day because it will be too bright to see the projected time.

      • Can't you just look at your phone?

        • +1

Probably could, but I would still need to find my phone first in the dark.

What kind of madman wants to ask for the time in the middle of the night?

This one who keeps waking up constantly 😖

        • In that case the answer is "time to go back to sleep".

I have one of these (it looks the same, not sure if it's actually the same brand). I've found it to be pretty good so far. I have terrible eyesight, so generally need a big clock to be able to read it, but have always found they give off a lot of light. The projection on this is pretty clear, without actually pushing that much light into the room - and any light that it does push out is upwards and not at me.

USB charging is slow, but I never put anything essential in there. Other than that, it has normal basic alarm clock features which no one uses because they do it all on their phone.

I got one from the last deal, much better quality than than the one it replaced.

The ebay one I linked started to become very dim (both display & projection) after a few months. Had two of them and both did the same. The Digoo still works well.

I power it with the supplied USB cable, temp reading is accurate and the USB charging works fine.

    • wall adapter not included ?

No just USB cable, I plug it in to an old phone charger.

  • will it charge in USD or AUD? So I can use the appropriate card..

I am using one from last deal. I love it. Time Projection is so so so convenient. Touch control for screen brightness is awesome. At max brightness you can even use it as night light. Overall built quality is good and it's easy to set up. Only downside is that it's light so some charging cable can drag it off in some cases.

  • I also have same from last deal and we love it..

    • Can the position/angle of the projection clock be changed or is it fixed

      • It can be rotated 90 degrees at a time (orientation of projection), and the projector bit on the right is on a swivel to move back and forwards. Generally found it to be enough control.

  • Thanks Op. Ordered another one. :)
