  Any good as a kitchen cupboard light?
  Just wondering how bright they are, and if it would light up a cupboard enough to help you see things.

  Or is it just to stop you stubbing your toe while walking around in the dark at night?

    Yeah, it'd be OK as a cupboard light.
    We've used them camping for tent light's
    You probably wouldn't want to read by it (borderline brightness), but perfectly fine to see stuff.

    I think I have a couple of these in our wardrobe which is pretty dark and it does a great job.

    I say I think, because there seems to be heaps of variants of these within the Xiaomi Yeelight brand and I'm not sure which one I have…

      it would, but it senses movement in the range of 2-3 meters (per this image), easily covering the entirety of my bathroom. Just need to keep moving to keep the light on. For longer times, i'd just turn the noisy light on.

        I already tried it for this. Works well but 20s is too short and moving around can make a “mess”. So YMMV. Haha.

  The Ikea Molgan light looks to be very similar to this. I have one as a wardrobe light and it works well. Not the brightest light in the world but would be fine as a night light or, as I use it, to illuminate the handing space of a wardrobe. LED, battery powered (I use pre-pricehike Laddas, of course), movement sensor (it comes on when I open the wardrobe door), auto-off. Ten bucks.
