The cheapest 2070 "super" available there's a better opt IMO. $800 for maybe 5% performance loss.

But then the 5700xt's another 6% slower for between $680 - $620 (probably cheaper elsewhere, just using CA numbers).

So take those numbers into consideration I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • The 2080TI inflation is certainly in effect. I was considering getting one but stock is gone now on the OK priced ones.

Was just mucking around in PC part picker and dam did ths 2080ti pricing catch me off guard. I knew the "super" line were "super" expensive, but thought 2080tis had dropped a tad.

2 grand for a "consumer" GPU is mad.

      • yeah there is a few NON-A model 2080TI around which have lower boost clocks due to them being poor yield chips (can't overclock as well). BUT I'm not paying $1500AUD for that crap…

I'll wait until next gen GPU's since it looks like prices won't be settling anytime soon.

        • AMD and Intel should sort Nvidia out. Next he'll be exciting, but for now nothing beyond the 5700xt gets a recommendation. Just to little extra performance for to much money.

  • I just picked up a OC RTX 2080 Super from Computer alliance for $150 more. Might not be worth it for some as it is only a 5-10% boost but for me every frame counts and the 2080Ti is waaaay out of my budget. At least the current NVIDIA game bundle promo with Control and Wolfenstein softens the blow a little bit

I am building a pc to sell and just thought a rtx 2080 sounds a lot better than a rtx 2070 super for a normal joe.. if this was just for me I would have bought the 2070 super or may be go for a 2080 ti which incredibly overpriced.

    • Yeah I would save the $150 and just get the Super. That's what I went for at least
