Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless In-Ear $389 Delivered (Was $499) @ Jaben Audio

150

Hi All, first time poster and long time lurker. Wanted to post this for quite awhile, but finally had the time to do so.

Hands down the best true wireless earphone I’ve tried, mic quality is decent as well. There are some reports about battery draining but the new firmware (1.26) fixes that problem.

He will only start off with a small loan of a million dollars after graduation.

Perhaps this is why they’re broke.

Made that username when I was still in uni..

  • this or Sony?

    • +1

I had both for a while. I kept the sony pair sound quality is similar, mic is average at best on both. Sony has better batteries and case i find, they turn off properly and noise canceling.

      • Don't they both have noise canceling?

        • +1

No the sennheisers are not noise canceling.. Though they have some minor water resistance.

I tried both, the Sony has a different sound character but still an excellent sound quality but it doesn’t suit my listening profile. I feel like the Sennheiser has a wider sound stage as well.

The sennheiser also fits well into my ear rather than the Sony. But I recommend to go to Jaben Audio if you’re in Melbourne to try both out. Or you could pop into Addicted to Audio.

    broke student $390 earphone :o

  • New Jabra are announced and probably better option https://www.cnet.com/news/jabra-elite-75t-unveiled-our-favor…
I have 65t active and they are great.

    • Why would they be better?

      • +1

Hard to say. 65t are great and new model has same workings but are smaller and better battery. Not sure how they would compare to these as not out yet.

As an owner of active 65t would happily buy brand again. Also probably be cheaper and better battery than these at 7.5.vs 4 hr.

Except Jabras have horrible sq so not sure why anyone would actually buy them.

        • -1

lel. getting audio advice from cnet. Especially when the review you quote literally says these have better SQ than Jabras, whose only upsides are 'sounding good on calls'.

I have a pair of these Senns and they are in a completely different class to Jabras and their 1990s carphone sound. So, uh, my recommendation would be the things you are commenting on.

My current dailies are Cambridge Audio Melomania 1s for the gym, or Audiolab m-dac nano with Westone W30s for the commute, since that's apparently relevant now.

      • Rolling one year back (even just before Sony WF-1000XM3), Jabra 65t was the best true wireless earbuds you could buy. It beats on Airpod on sq (of course), while still offers reliable connections.

The WF-1000XM3 are a brand new release. Did you mean WF-1000X?

  • This is the cheapest so far, good find.

  • How do these compare to say, AirDots, which I can also afford?

    • +1

      Well, Count Homer…

    • AirDots are good

Thanks op got the good guys to price match. Bought these and the powerbeats at the same time. Powerbeats are more colourful in terms of bass these are way more detailed and a better soundstage. Upgraded from Bose 35 qcii which don't sound as nice but have advantages and disadvantages. Though these make me want the hd 800s now haha.
