  • This comes with a 512GB NVMe SSD. Does anyone know if you can install a second SSD or 2.5inch hard drive ?

    • +1

I think you can - on the user guide (page17) it has "One 2.5-inch Hard-Disk Drive (HDD)" and "One M.2 2280 solid-state drive" if you have a 4-cell battery configuration and according to the eBay listing it does. Would send a message to dell first though.
Also, crucial has the M.2 and 2.5" listed under storage.

good deal but the thick bezels kill it for me

    • +3

      Why?
I have a lenovo e490 with thick bezels and i dont even notice them, this aint phones bruh

      • it's subjective.

        • +2

I guess so. If you have a lot of expendible income and buy things totally based on cosmetics like our western capitalist society dictates is required for social recognition then so be it. I'll be in my corner with a bargain.

@Nadder: This isn't Reddit, keep politics out of here.

The person doesn't like large bezels, no need to be overly dramatic about it. I personally think the bezels look fine.

          • @Nadder: Are you on cocaine???????

Be aware that the gpu is a 2070 maxq if you look though the specs.

  • Feel like above $2000 I'd be wanting a 2080?

    • +3

Laptops with 2080s start from $3-4k don't they?

  • Only if this was normal 2070 :(

  • Oh man this is tempting. My brother got one of these at the begining of the year and it's actually quite a nice unit. I'm traditionally a PC person, but really don't need a power house as much these days and my PC is really feeling it these days.

But I don't really do that much gaming and lean towards coding, work, very light music and video editing. Would be happy with medium settings in games.
Also looking at the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 2 deal (using the ram to 16GB makes the price about the same). Love the portability and style of the Lenovo, but also the Dell is nice too. Maaaaaaaaan choices choices
