Does anyone have a definitive answer on where the chocolate in made? I think wrapper says packed in Australia - is that code for Made in China?

    • The pack only has the following:

Packed in Australia from imported and Australian ingredients.

      • The press release claimed made in Australia, but packaging doesn’t align to this. That could mean Australian packaging, or Australian air as the minor ingredient.

To be fair, the government is too busy trying to breath test people seeking work. They haven't got time to gently approach the business council to politely ask them to provide some more clarity on their food labels.

@poboy: Not sure what you're getting at with this and how it's relevant at all.

Not sure about this specific chocolate - but I know they produce milk and dark on site at Ingleburn. They import the white chocolate from memory but unsure if this is still the case. They have been moving away from artificial ingredients in the past year also.

    • I wondered the same thing when these first came out. Checked with them via Facebook and was told that all blocks are made on site at their Melbourne factory.

    • the factory is in Ingleburn, NSW.

  • But where is the Darrell Lea icecream? Still haven't seen it in store. The title of this deal tricked me at a glance :(

PS: the Darrell Lea blocks are good, but seems to be half price more often than not

    • Have seen the ice cream at an IGA. It may only be stocked at the independents and not Coles/Woolies.

      • Yes according to their website it's only available in IGA and other independents.

I really don't understand this business strategy - why would the general public go out of their way to get some (especially if they don't know it exists). The same goes for these chocolate blocks not being available at Coles.

You're assuming Coles and Woolworths would let DL sell it in their stores if they merely told them to. The duopoly are the gatekeepers; they grant that boon at their discretion.

The peppermint partytime block is very tasty

Has a good balance of dark chocolate with that little bit of mint thrown in. My preference is more mint, but it's still tasty!

Their Chocolate Bullets should come under gun laws, they are so addictive.
