Oh boy, heartburn and diarrhea in one!

    • +13

      Bang for buck.

      • I need the grammage to work it out myself.

    • and that's just the coffee…

    • +1

I dunno why they call it Traveller Pizza…

You won't be travelling much farther than the toilet after having one of these lol

  • +1

Bought Hawaiian this week for $3.50 ….. it is tasteless for me and I was starving at that time.

    • +1

Yep. I was part of the focus test group for this pizza range, and most of them were tasteless (except the vegetarian, surprisingly enough).

      • +1

thats my fav - the peperoni is not bad, but the veg is great

      • +3

Clearly you and your focus group didn't complain hard enough if they've released these en masse. Either that, or they must've had enough going for them in other focus groups to suggest they're worth selling.

I'm going to give it a shot personally, suggest people do likewise and make up their own minds too :)

        • +1

True in all respects! I know that I certainly made my feedback known, but it's possible the other participants just turned up and answered minimally to receive the participation payment with the least effort. 😄

        • The focus group were too busy eating all the free pizza to complain.

  • +3

    Hard pass

  • +7

better off getting a 3.95 dominos.

    • +3

Yeah, it's encroaching into the the pizza hut/Domino's cheap pizza area. If it were $1.50 or less it might be a better deal.

    • What’s the dominos 3.95 deal?

      • +1

Yeah I don't recall it being that price for a few years. Maybe he drives at 88mph

    • Hell, a pizza hut next to one of my customers does the personal pans for $3 all day :)

  • +6

If they are anything like the quality of the traveller pies, definitely give them a miss.

Made the mistake of picking up a $2 traveller pie using the 7/eleven app recently, and it was the single worst pie I've ever eaten. Even my dog didn't want it, and I've seen him eat some pretty nasty stuff in the past.

    • +8

i bought one of their sausage rolls at 4am after a big night but then mislaid it and found it 3 months later and it looked exactly rhe same. no mould or anything. must be some wicked chemicals in them. and no i didnt eat it lol

    • +5

7-eleven pies are pretty good, I don't mind them at all. Their traveler pies are quite good too.

It's no Pie Face, Newtown Pies or Pie Tin but it's still definitely edible and worth its price.

      • I must have gotten a bad one then. I definitely wouldn't have called mine "quite good", and even "edible" was a stretch. I'm not even that fussy, knowing what goes into a pie.

It reminded me of the poorest quality school canteen lunch pies from when I was a kid.

There crap, had the pepperoni a few days ago and made me sick, had a disgusting aftertaste.

  • pass

  • it looks really sad

  • +7

They should start selling pizza pockets instead.

    • +1

Someone post this in the fuel watch thread where 7/11 will see it

  • +1

    I quite like them

  • Cheese is beyond disgusting on this one..

  • +3

7-11 Australia should go to America and try their $5 full size pizza. And bring that here,Actually tastes pretty good!

    • Junkyard should go back to America and bring it back here please.

  • +1

Got one today and thought Hawaiian was pretty good. For 2 bux.

  • +2

    Limit of 5 7-Eleven

    Make up your mind.

  • +1

It tastes like a layer of mush between the pastry and the topping. Not sure if that is just microwaved ones for the morning rush or all of them.

    • +1

I noticed that with the Hawaiian - I told myself it was maybe particularly tasteless cheese matter in order to get it down, but it really is just… mush.

  • +1

I had one today and the pepperoni had a plastic taste to it… If I die before I wake I’ll know why

    • +1

      you will never know then

    • At least in heaven I can skate!

  • +2

I think the $2 cheesy cheeseburger or $2.60 BBQ cheeseburger from hungry jacks is better than this from looking at all the comments.

How big are these 7-Eleven Traveller Pizza's because I got fooled by the Domino's cheese and garlic scrolls that were the size of a ping pong ball.

    • size of a ping pong ball.

Seriously? I'll just go for standard log of garlic bread then

      • They taste ok more juice then a garlic bread but yeah the size is a lot smaller than I imagined not much larger than their meat balls.

        • That's why advert pics can be misleading, I thought the zoomed in pics would be at least size of butterfly pastry

  • Are these sold frozen or kept in the pie warmer in shops?

    • Pie warmer, moot point. Highly don't recommend

  • Tried this 3 weeks ago. It tasted terrible.

  • +1

I've tried the vege one and surprisingly not bad. I wouldn't trust pepperoni or Hawaiian though

  • +1

had the pepperoni this morning for breakfast…not bad. Lots of cheese..and dough.
usual price is $3.50. Might try the vege next week.

  • I just had one of the pepperoni pizzas, lots of sauce and the meat was not very good, much rather a sausage roll & sauce.

  • +1

Had the pepperoni one today. Not bad would buy again for $2 but not $3.50.
