    Lived in Darwin for a couple of years.

    You forgot to add the spectacular thunderstorms, dirt cheap tropical fruits and crocs going walkabout ;-)

  Price is great, but what is Darwin like in January?

  Obviously hot and wet, but is it TOO hot and wet to be a tourist?

  Stay in a hotel with swimming pool and you be ok.

  Remember when they built the airport hotel, a tradesperson found a croc in the pool ha ha ha… It happened during the wet season.
