i'm holding out for my freebie shavors

    • the free one wasn't a power one though, was it ?

      • same thing i thinks.

edit: i just saw a photo of a packet in the catalogue. it's got a picture of a battery on it. apparently it vibrates. review at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ClFO10hEprg

        • The vid is a review of the Power one (It says it on the packet but it's different to the Aust packaging). He hasn't titled his video clearly to highlight it but he does demonstrate the power feature.

  • I didn't see the 30% off in the cat. Does this start tommorrow?

you shouldn't be feeding these to cats…

      • +2

I think u misunderstood. My cat has a catalogue built into it. I don't feed it razors silly.

    $1.49 tim tams as well

    • +1

off-topic, but well let that one slip through to the keeper… :)

      • I'm more interested in the tim tams too lol

        • Is it Australia Tim Tams or Indonesia ones? Prefer to stock up some OZ made ones.

        • the pack i bought today says made in australia. i don't buy them very often so i didn't even realise some are made in indonesia

the grocery dude is a slacker and hasn't posted the catalogue specials yet

If you look very closely in the catalog it says at the bottom 'price includes % off discount'
    Not sure if that matters?

    • yeah, sort of suggests it is $8.49

  • Would be good to see more info on this deal, as it does not seem to be 100% certain, $5.85 is a nice price to try a power shaver.

  • I'm not sure where the OP got an extra 30% off from. I can't see any mention of %-off discount for Gilette items in tomorrow's catalogue, where it is advertised at $8.49: http://upload.ozbargain.com/2011/07/05/6239_shaver.jpg

    • there is a reference to some % off discount at the bottom of that page, but it appears to be an exclusion

      • There are a few items with 20-30% discounts on the ajoining page, so that is most likely in reference to those items.

        • ah, you are correct. the dot applies to all the % off products on the next page.

    • I can't see any reference to 30% off from the current or tomorrow's catalogue either.

  • Came up 30% off Gillette on my docket Just Before closing time 9Pm.

    Likewise.. wtf..
Wouldnt refills be cheaper or you trying to make 50 cents a pack profit on ebay?

    100 x Gillette Proglides @ Woolworths@$ 5.85 costing $585
    100 x Gillette Proglides Sold on ebay @ $ 12.95 each = $1295
    Ebay Fees -$140
    Paypal fees -$75
    Total Profit…. $495

      • Postage and packing fees at least $100+
    • +2

wow, you went and bought 83 more? and here I was thinking maybe he's just a hairy brutha (or worse sistah!)

    • +2

If a buyer was tempted to pay $12.95 + postage wouldn't they just as easily buy it at RRP from any supermarket (or buy it when next on sale anywhere and save)?

  • buyers pay postage.

  • So buyers will be paying $12.95 + postage?
Isn't the idea of buying off eBay to get it cheaper?

    • +1

The inital idea of online auctions is to buy cheaper but ebay is rip off lately. People get carried away with bidding. I have no daught that he will get $12 plus shipping

  • Anyone manage to buy some today?

    • Price was $16.99 today for the power shaver.
