[Switch] Dead Cells $35.97, Darkest Dungeon: Ancestral Edition $29.95 @ EB Games

100

Hi all

I found this EB games sales going on at the moment.

Not great price if you like dl version… but if you are up for any physical version of dead cells and darkest dungeon, it is decent imo.

Dead Cells;

Darkest Dungeon Ancestral Edition;
https://www.ebgames.com.au/product/nintendo-switch/237734-da…

Normally they are around $60 (which I think it is bollocks they put such high margin).

I bought both of them as I thought it is an okay deal for me to have physical versions.

Let me know if this is an inappropriate posting, this is my first post.

Cheers!

    Nice find - those games are pretty good. :-)
    Just add some pricing into the heading, & in the main post you can put other games with links & pricing.

    Sometimes if you're unfamiliar, just find a previous deal for that store & modify for your games, pricing & links. Eg.

    Edit: beat me to adding the price in the heading, but please add some direct links to the game item pages so people can see & buy. :-)

    • Thanks for the guide mate. :)

  • Dead Cells is actually a great game especially on the switch. Fair price for it I reckon.

    • Yeah I am having a mix feeling of blast/frustrated as not familiar with action platformer. Great game tho

        Correction: mixed feelings of blast / frustrated / just one more go :-p

        Great game for killing 30mins… that turns into 3hrs.

    Darkest Dungeon is a great game. A little more exy than I recall it being on Steam. I wonder how the Switch version holds up.

    • Yeah switch tax is a real thing. But to be fair having a catridge game gives me feeling of nostalgia, worth it imo. :)

      Forgot to mention it has all dlc included apparently. I need to double check it tho.

    Phew, sold my darkest dungeon for 40 bucks last week (brought it for 42).

    I'm just here to recommend Darkest Dungeon. It's a nightmarishly enjoyable slog.

  • Definitely planning to play Darkest Dungeon (on some platform)…but was leaning towards PC for the mods - apparently the modding scene is great for this game, adding lots of replayability.

    Although, mods vs portability.

    But then there's also physical vs digital as well…seems like the kind of game that might be handy to have digital, to open for a random run?

    Thoughts?

    • As far as I could research, pc version is more affordable and you can play around it. But for me, I don’t get to sit at my laptop as much as I used to because of family/work commitment and having it with switch port allows me play whenever I want to.

      The good thing about having it physical cartridge is it includes dlc, which I believe you will have to buy it separately from eshop. Also i could re sell it later if I am done (although I like to collect physical copies for my game library) Given the price, it seems a good deal for me.

      Hope this comment helps you decide. Cheers!

  • Decent price and having the resell value later if needed.

    eshop prices for comparison
    Dead Cells $37.50 https://ec.nintendo.com/AU/en/titles/70010000007705
    Darkest Dungeon: Ancestral Edition $52.00 https://ec.nintendo.com/AU/en/bundles/70070000003450

    But my local EB has no Dead cells copies :-(

    • Yeah they both were on sales before (dead cells at $29.5, and 25 percents off on the darkest dungeon previously at eshop), yet I think this may be the cheapest physical switch copy I have seen offered at Australian retailers. I might be wrong but that was much I quite find when I was researching it. :)
