"that is more convenient and faster than ironing!"

Except that steamers and irons don't actually do the same thing…

I hope that nobody buys this and throws away their iron, thinking that their days of ironing shirts are over.

    • I was kinda thinking that…

    User Review

Pros: Concept good idea, light and doesn't take up much storage space
Cons: Didn't work, quicker to use your normal iron.

Overall: I was looking forward to using this and help save some of the fiddly ironing bits like frills etc and to freshen up jackets etc. But I was very disappointed. I spent ages trying to steam a garment and the result was poor. I tried several different types of fabric, some were a little better, but it didn't do anything with the frills at all and little effect to the jacket. So not at all impressed. It would work better if there was a solid frame for the garment to sit on as, as soon as you put the steam head to the fabric the garments moves away from you, and you can't hold it too close or you get burnt. This is a good idea in concept but needs a lot of improvement. I have tried to take it back to David Jones but because I have used it I can't return it, even though it doesn't do what the box advertises "quicker than ironing".

    • Thanks for you reply, i bought this today morning i will return it now.

Tried this brand, not really working as I hoped. The crease clamp is useless. Working with shirt, but sometimes end up makes the shirt damp. Luckily I bought at Dick Smith, they have change of mind policy so I can returning the item, even after I tried that, no question asked.

      • Why don't you try that one first? As Gringoesal said, it comes down to what you gonna use it for. With DSE policy, you can have change of mind, so you can discover it yourself whether it is working for you or not. Btw, the price when it first come out is $119.

  • I've been looking for something to do what this item says its supposed to do. Anyone have any suggestions on any good products that will steam AND iron clothes?

Or one that will work around the home/car also?

It comes down to what you use them for.

I have one, got off ebay for about $55 a few months back.

Work clothes ie;shirts, trousers & jackets come out brilliant and its sweet as your not ironing. Its prob a bit quicker than ironing,
Things with heaps of wrinkles like cords or a shirt that has been scruched to the max.

Overall def worth the $50 but I dont use it as much as I thought I would. Have not picked up an iron in months but im pretty slack on presentation , 420 made me like that.

  • Would this be effective for use on a car engine bay? Or if not, what would?

  • I really do not think this is easier or more convenient to use than the ordinary iron that can do steaming.

  • Guys I spent 50 min to iron a shirt with one of these things.
It was waste of my time. left it in the store room.
Tried it again after a month or so thinking I should give this another try.
Spent another 1 hour 20 min or something with one shirt.
Waste of time and energy this time as well.

Gave it away to my friend….. Guys.. my advise do not spend anything at all on this product.
