First Choice is fiddly with C&C, a lot of times you'll get the dreaded 'This item is not available at your chosen store'. That's because your registered postal address is not in one of their allowable zones. The trick is to change your postal address to something in a large metropolitan area (I use a business address in the Melbourne CBD) in both eBay and PayPal, then mark that one as your primary. Dive into the First Choice store on eBay, load up your cart, then select C&C as your delivery option and it should allow you to select any store as your pickup location. Finalise your sale, then go back into eBay and PayPal and switch your primary postal address back to the real one.

This works for me and I often pick items up at my local store in regional Qld.

      • oh right, i went in store and showed them the ebay deal and they accepted.

I thought legal drinking age was 18YO?

    • +1

It's illegal to drink anything under 18.

    Wasn't this $60 a little while ago?

Edit: yep, $120 for 2 from Dan's in early April, same price at First Choice.

    • yes picked up 6 bottles back then

      Usually ~$55

  • I have been looking to buy the cask strength a'bunadh whisky from this brand (60% alc) as a birthday gift for a whisky drinker after reading reviews (not a whisky drinker myself), but this is a good deal from the same brand… Can anyone recommend whether the a'bunadh is worth the $150 compared to this one?

I say yes. I have both in the cabinet at home, and they're both very nice drops.

To my tastes (and I enjoy a lot of single malts), the a'bunadh is on another level of smooth and taste.

the a'bunadh was on special at Dan's recently: around $107. So it does come up.

If you follow the same method as other deals via Groupon and Boozebud (first time customers), you can pick up the A'bunadh for $105.58 delivered.

    • A'Bunadh is not worth $150. Around the $100 mark is ok, I personally wouldn't pay more than $110.

Has been cheaper in the past

See this regularly at ~$65… not really a bargain.

    • Has been as cheap as $54. Strangely when posted at $65 it only got 23 + votes.

Not sure why it's so popular now.

As an aside I thought it to be an average whisky.

At $71, I'm sure there are other whisky options that are better. Damned if I know what they are though.

  • buy two, use code popper, works out each will be 70.76

  • can get it for $65 including postage from boozebud using this method - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/483278

Bought one on the last deal for $60. Most overrated and underwhelming whiskey I've had in a while. Should have been bottled at 43% minimum.

  • Aaaand its gone.
This listing was ended by the seller because there was an error in the listing.

  • and now the seller is no longer a registered eBay user…
