        I still have the same slicer as i did when i commented on the posted you linked, and still no rust or issues.
        starting to think they never cleaned the thing properly and let it rust.

      I have one. You should have low expectations. It works on easy to cut things, but it's pretty budget.

      I use mine for jerky and it really struggles now. The engine sounds horrendous and it takes longer than cutting by hand. I only use it now if I want to slice some biltong that has already been dried.
