Price drop on this relatively new game, is a $1 more expensive than Amazon's pre-order launch price. Selling second hand on eBay for around the $60 mark, so not a bad price for new and free post.

Extra savings with Shopback/Cash Rewards.

Edit: Same price at JB Hi-fi if you didn't want to wait for delivery or if you had JB vouchers!

  • Brought one from catch with coupon and gift card, still $3 cheaper than JB with gift card. But I prefer pickup. Can not wait to try this game. Good price.

      Where did you take it?

      • I want to use up all my leftover catch gift card (20% off)and wait for catch send me ,"xx off when sepnd xx" coupon. Using catch member trail to get free shipping. End up with (67-10)*0.8=45.6 delivered. Not for everyone, but worked for me.

  • Any deals on Mario kart

    • $57.60 delivered from Catch eBay seems to be the cheapest atm.

      • What discount code are you using to get that price cheers

        • PANTSUIT (not sure if you need eBay Plus or not).

          • @aja12: Thank you yes I have eBay plus thanks to ozbargin

  • Good deal op. But online subscription is a must to play this game right?

    • Go to some forums, organise a family pass with other gamers. Cost me 6.9/share for 1 year subscription.

      • senpai can you suggest which forum to go to?

        • I see them often on the ozbargain forums

And if you happen to have Amazon prime you can get 12 months of Nintendo Online through your subscription for no additional cost.

    • I just bought the switch from the ebay special a few days ago on ozbargain, was excited to to play mario maker 2 - until i read this comment lol. I googled online and found this info:

"Outside of Story Mode, you can also design your own levels and play them offline. However, you’ll need to have a Nintendo Switch Online subscription to share these custom levels and play ones made by other Super Mario Maker 2 users. Other features like online multiplayer also require Nintendo Switch Online in order to utilize. There’s simply no way to get around it."

Thought I'd share this info for anyone in a similar position as me.

EDIT: The pricing isn't bad. A 12 month membership (best value - according to Nintendo online) is $29.95 AUD. I was honestly expecting PlayStation pricing (55-80 depending when you get the 12 month plan). Pleasantly surprised with the Nintendo pricing.

i know its the cheapest among systems but just don't feel like paying $30 just to play that 1 game that i'm interested in.

        • Yeah, that is fair. I just bought the Switch lite for Mario Maker 2 so I'm in a similar boat. Unfortunately, to get the full benefit I'll have to pay the extra $30, or like ce5himm said above try to find a share account.

I know you can download these games via ROMS etc, but the subscription also offers old school nintendo and super nintendo games - so it's a slight sweetener to the deal.

Unfortunately, there is no way around it. Mario Maker appeals to me because I can play custom levels from other users and unfortunately I'll have to buy the sub.

        • Read what ce5himm said above- "Go to some forums, organise a family pass with other gamers. Cost me 6.9/share for 1 year subscription.".

Plus it looks like you get can a free 12 month membership if you are a amazon prime/twitch prime member. https://twitch.amazon.com/prime/loot/nintendo/

    • If you have Amazon Prime (Twitch Prime) they recently had a promo for 3 free months, extending to 12 months after a certain point. Unsure if it is still available but that's what I'm using.

      • Ends on the 24th I believe

      • Also works with Prime trial

  • Is it still worth purchasing the game?

    • When was it not worth purchasing?

    • worth it until you lost your imagination, even you lost it, still worth because others still have.
or until maker 3 comes out.

  • What's local multiplayer like in this game?

    • +1

you need to download a course first then find it in your coursebot then play, you cannot play while browsing

      clunky af

      • Damn. I'll give it a miss then. Thanks!

      • Sounds complicated lol

  • Anywhere near this price on ebay?
