    Work for an educational institution.

Source: work for an educational institution; have .edu.au work e-mail address

    • Can confirm. I am a student (at TAFE) and an employee (at a school) and have one for each.

After my email name is “7” (work) but I also have 6 (student), and have in the past owned a few of the others and they have just given me new ones when I can’t recover the older ones.

Buy one for around $4 on Ebay they are all US based . But research I think US based can run into problems with UNI .

Create a free US one but beware @ in nightmare go to above.

Court or befriend a student .

Beg for someone to risk their A/C giving you a code every time . I won't give codes away :)

    • Doesn't help i want an Australian one

  • Aside from working for an educational institution in a non-teaching capacity, not really. I guess you could try to enroll in some free online course and see if any might provide you with an .edu.au email address, but short of that, probably just finding a friend who's a student or employed at an educational institution.

There was a deal with university of Tasmania where it was an online course and you got an edu email address

    • That's exactly what i am looking for.

  • You can get an account on eBay. But this is not recommended as if you are planning on using this for Cloud Storage you are also giving the seller access to all your files as well as emails. Also, your account may get deleted any time as misuse of edu.au domain results in the domain getting shutdown.

    • Not really looking for some from eBay, i know there were some universities which offered free online courses which came with such an email

    • Note - if you are using an edu.au for free Office365 and OneDrive storage, you are also giving unrestricted access to your institution's IT staff.

Better to pay for a individual/family subscription if privacy is a concern.

long shot but some unis still let their alumni use the old edu.au account. So ex uni student might also have a shot.

  • Nah, I prefer student discounts stay with students.

  • Do you get one for your kids..For e.g a 6 year old studying in one of the NSW schools.
