  • Damn! If only I didn't already get Borderlands 3.
    Great deal

I may get negged here, but the PC version has severe issues with Denuvo's high CPU usage and 2MB/s upload to their servers for a constant connection.

    • +3

Hopefully you won't get negged. It's a good PSA.

    • Yeah Denuvo seems to be a killer, my PC is in the build so using my wifes i5 4570 and it's pegged at 100% CPU far too often resulting in massive stuttering.

    • 2MB/s up is wrong, high CPU is probably right but it would be hard to distinguish between that and shitty optimisation by Gearbox.

      • -1

Given the increasing list of games that experience performance jumps by simply having Denuvo removed it's more than likely Denuvo.

    • +1

I read that the 2MB/s upload was if you enabled viewer interaction through Twitch, so it's constantly uploading game data for your livestream.

    • I'm on NBN and I think at times my upload speed is below 2MB/S. Will that mean I can't play the game online?

  • It was posted yesterday:

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/485228

But I guess mods will allow this given that the other one didn't mention any deal.

    • +4

I saw that, but then I figured people might want an actual deal with a price posted. So they don't have to go finding the right models.

This deal is cheaper than the upcoming computer alliance price jacked deal on Thursday …

    • Less price jacking :)

    • Won't the Computer Alliance price be $159.20 after the 20% discount?

      • +2

Most likely will be price jacked to $209 or $219 before the 20% off.

  • +6

Works out to $171 @ MSY if you can pickup from a store with stock via the 10% off in store deal.

might buy 2+ and get gst back at trs, ssds are easy to carry ;)

Reminds me of a relative traveling to Taiwan in the mid-90's. Doing a RAM deal in the streets of Taiwan. Briefcase full. IIRC, around $22k paid.

        • I think this month there s news saying the people travel with the Taiwan President loaded a huge amount of 'goods' on to the plane when going back to Twaiwan because they don't have to go through custom to pay importing tax

I bought the M.2 version for $186 after discount on Sunday but it looks like W1 jacked the price by $40 ($219 > $259) for the B3 offer.

My guess is they did the same for this.

(Mods: my last comment got unpublished for linking the ebay listing. Ebay doesn’t do affiliate links!)

Wouldn't mind the game, but no need for a new SSD atm :(

    • I've ordered one from the current Computer Alliance sale and happy to sell the game if its possible?

  • +1

Can I get it for PS4?

  • How does this compare to the Silicon Power 1tb m.2 ssd?
I don't particularly care about the game.
